Go to Salem for Halloweeeeeeeen!
Nah homie, Salem is a regular shitshow on all days leading up to and especially Halloween. A Lot of wannabe goth heads holding seances on street corners. From what I hear, it used to be fun in Salem around Halloween, now it's just long lines to look inside houses witches supposedly lived in and for anything cool you need reservations.
@ocj_brendan is coming to town, ahh shit. What days you here man? Maybe we can get together and cause some trouble, but if you need some alone time I get that too. For shit to do, there's always the bar scene, just stay away from Cheers. Common mistake a lot of people visiting make. Place is a tourist trap, overpriced bullshit and weak drinks. Fuck that shit. As far as bars go, there are literally so many, that if you told me what kind of bars you're looking for I could tell you the best ones (in my opinion) around anyway.
Lots of great restaurants, I always recommend Wahlburgers (trendy at the moment but the absolute shit) and The Fours (best sports bar EVER), but they're a little farther away. Again, depends on what atmosphere/menu you're looking for. Let me know a little more of what you're looking at, will make it a lot easier. Lots of seafood around here, but you have that same shit where you're at. Won't find crabs around here though, more lobster than anything, if you eat that crap, I don't. As far as restaurants go, sure, you could just look stuff up online, but I can do you the favor of telling you what's bullshit and what's not. A lot of online stuff is all hype I've found out, it looks great but you get there and everything sucks.
As far as anything else, again, give me an idea of what you would like to get into. I'm sure I can steer you in the right direction. Hopefully we can hang too dude. I go to Atlanta for work October 27-November 1 so hopefully you're not coming then!!

why do people call Boston bean town??
and yes go to Wahlburgers I just found out 30% of the whole franchise is owned by Canadian Michael Wekerle make sure you try the poutine ..
Once again, there is no poutine at Wahlburgers. They only sell food that people in this country will eat, not soggy french fries that look like someone dumped (no pun intended) diarrhea on them. Why do you care if people eat poutine? It's like me going around pissed off if people in other countries didn't eat pizza and cheeseburgers. Why would I care? I wouldn't (I totally don't) but I'm not a delusional retard who has to go on and on and on and on and on……and on and on and on and on and on about the country I live in. Maybe one day you'll figure out that nobody gives a shit. Until then, bonjour fuckface. Siev vu plais my hairy ball bag, you French faggot.
If you don't have a complex about America, why do you mention it all the time? You really should seek therapy, anger management couldn't hurt either. Cheer up le_pussae_francais, it's almost the wonderful time of year where your wonderful country goes into the negative temperatures for months on end. Better get out your mittens and egg shaped stocking caps!!!

There is no poutine, maybe the one in Toronto will sell it, the one in Hingham, Massachusetts, does not. Still haven't explained why it's so important to you for Americans to eat your shitty version of french fries. Especially since you hate us so much. I would think you'd be thrilled that no one here will touch that bullshit, but instead you choose to live in denial and convince yourself that it's on the menu's of restaurants that I actually go to, and you never have. I would tell you if it was there, it isn't, get over it. Since I go there, and you've never been, I think I'm the more reliable source on this one.
Another thing you fail to retain in your fairly limited egg shaped brain, I'm not fat. No wide angle lens needed. But you're just dying to have a photo of me to feed your obsession with all things Pat, maybe you'll finally get one. But why would I need to grow a pair to go hang with one of my favorite people on here? Doesn't make sense to me. Most of what you say doesn't make sense to me. You might as well be speaking Spanish, or that French crap that sounds so gay.

Still confused about your obsession with poutine. Nobody here eats that shit, get over it. We don't like diarrhea fries, you really just need to move on.....

This is the grossest shit I've seen in quite some time. I can't believe you actually eat this. It literally looks like someone took a dump and busted a nut on your French fries. I'd rather starve.
Put some Sausage Gravy on there (like what they put on biscuits and gravy) and this shit would be even more cash.

Man, this thread depresses me. I grew up in Boston, and back in the day I would have said to go hang out in Harvard Square and check out the Pit, go to a punk show at the Channel, and go to one of the Irish bars in Central Square and get people talking about the IRA, afterwards head to Falafel Palace. Absolute guaranteed great time, that would have been. Sadly, none of that applies anymore. I guess the clam chowder at Legal Seafood is as good as ever, but you can get that shit at Gallery Place nowadays.

Im back in Boston again for more training...Holla at a ninja im at MJ O Connors at the Weston Water front hotel with a group of about a dozen managers getting drinks. Really nice hotel almost makes up for the random falling ice balls tryna kill me and the five feet of snow everywhere...but I say with full certainty FUCK FREEZING OCEAN SPRAY...that shit is wack.
