I can understand this, the USA is a big country. There is a lot to do here.

More than anything, I like experiencing the things you CAN'T experience here. The culture and the language (though I've yet to master a second langauge) and that sort of thing. I mean, I was able to eat dog, and it was pretty fuckin' fresh! (to quote the dude from Freek Show.)

Different strokes for different folks is all.

Yah, well i ate a possum at my uncle's house in VA. XD but no i get cha, i just really Don't feel the urge to experiance life though the eyes of an Indian, African, or Asian.

like LTB i don't see myself leaving the states either. and it's not outa fear, it's that i think there's enough here at home to see and do in one lifetime. The Grand Canyon, Yellow Stone, Rocky mountains, the Hoe Rain-forest... ect. i'm an out doorsy kinda guy so i could just plan to go fishing in all 48 mainland states and be set on vacation plans for most of my adult life.

Most unusual meats I've eaten would probably be bison. Shit was delicious too. I've eaten moths a few times while tripping, don't ask why, because I don't know either.

I dunno.. my view is that people who don't want to experience new environments, even if only briefly and even if the only lesson you learn is how good you had it back home, I find those people awfully strange. Then again, ninjas who take hallucinogens and eat insects aren't exactly the norm either.

I just flat out don't trust people who haven't taken hallucinogens at least once.

They are the most important learning devices we have as far as I know. No matter how terrifying it can get sometimes, everyone should go there, agreed.

I don't know if "don't trust" is a fair statement.

That said, I can certainly understand the sentiment behind it.

interestingly, i disagree.  there are numerous personality types that are, in my opinion, not very compatible with hallucinogens.

hell, some people cant even handle television.

also, and i dont care if i sound like a jerk for saying it, dumb people should not do psychedelics.  they wont get anything from it except kicks, and thats if theyre lucky.

when it comes to kicks, there are a million alternatives.

  awfully paranoid, arent you?

Most def. I only used mushrooms once and had an very enlightening experience while the friends that took the same amount just got a "buzz". I was feeling like I was on some Wolverine shit with a heightened state of awareness. A laptop seemed like big screen I was so focused. I think one should not be looking to "trip" or even with herb "get high". I think a genuine respect for a substance should be developed before using so that you don't abuse it. And buy abuse I don't mean overuse I mean like devaluing it. Like people who toss roaches, someone would have enjoyed that roach. I think having an introspective mind could aid as well. But i'm not experienced enough to really say shit about psychedelics. But yes, they're not for everyone.

I grew shrooms for ten years. I never made much money off it. I wanted everyone to "experience". I tried to explain that to a guy, and he called "bullshit". Cant convince some people.

You are someone I want to sit down and talk with. Are you gonna be at the gathering?

Not likely, unfortunately. I'm moving to Colorado in August and while I could technically afford the GOTJ, its not in our best interest. I'd like to, as its been ten years since my last one.

Damn how did i skip this thread.. I went to amsterdam in the summer of 2012 for five days, man as soon as i showed up i walked across a bridge and drop the luggage at the hotel and i was in fucking heaven. I found a little hole in the wall right off the bat just to get my smoke on since it had been a minute and i was just blown the fuck away with how cool people are with it the owner gave me a bunch of good info about how the laws work and how their gov wanted to change some shit but they wont stand for it, i loved tripping from the truffles (shroom roots) i think they are way more giggly and fun where as shrooms have that but they just fuck with your state of mind with some folks, if your not a smoker you could still go to amsterdam and have a blast, but if your a everyday smoker, you show up and you just are in heaven checkin out menus at shops, eating edibles, certain shops had dank pre-rolled shit but some places are shady. The prostitutes i thought were fuckin hilarious, im trippin the fuck out stoned to another planet and bitches are sayin come fuck me i would bust the fuck up laughing, but the people are so cool i never saw a rude person, just avoid fools trying to sell coke at night but if you say im good they be on to the next guy. But im going back one day, but if anybody goes you should try to go when their isnt anything going on. There was a city festival going on when i went but it wasnt anything crazy, but everybody should go their, there's alot of cool shit to see besides bud and truffles

We've had an interest in the place since we first watched "Cheech & Chong's Still Smokin'"... I don't even toke anymore, but I will again some day I'm sure. Was around the fam and wife toking yesterday. Love the smell.

I'd be interested in the truffles n such. Haven't shroomed in about two years.

Interested in the Anne Frank place, and the art culture. Thanks for all the info, all.

I'm done with mushrooms. Bad bad times. The only real good time I enjoyed mushrooms was the first time.
