1. Tie your fucking shoe laces! Tripping over yourself whilst running from the ranks of the undead is a sure way to get eaten. If you are too panicked to tie your shoes or are just too dumb to know how, then you are fucked before you even got started. Go barefoot to your local Wal Mart and snatch a pair of velcros if you can make it there.

#32: Enjoy the Little Things – It’s the end of the world. Don’t sweat the small stuff. Loot a neighborhood or two, trash a car, speed, run some red lights! Do the little things and enjoy them. Who knows how long you have to live!

Endurance would not be my thing. I’m terrible with running.

Zombieland is great. I’m not into the Walking Dead (yet?) Or zombie craze in general, but here are my favorites..

Dead Alive aka Braindead

Return of the Living Dead

^ those two are the most stand out to me. I used to be obsessed with Dead Alive.

#6: Travel in a Group – The best way to increase your odds of survival when travelling in a zombie outbreak is to make sure you’re a traveling buffet. Going it alone gives the zombies no choices but to eat you. Going it with the old man with the limp, the little kid who can’t run and the middle-aged woman with the bum leg gives the zombies more options and you better odds.

@86 , I didn’t think of these. They are quotes from the movie Zombieland. It’s from his Rules.

#5: No Attachments – This is a tough one but you can not have attachments. If you have kids or a wife your less likely to survive then the gal or guy who has no attachments and nothing slowing him or her down. Attachments lead to bonehead decisions like ‘going back into the room’ or ‘nobody gets left behind’.

#4: Doubletap – Carrying a gun is a great idea but it should never be your primary weapon. When you do end up using it for that last-minute ‘oh shit’ moment remember to double tap.  If your attacked by zobmies why skimp? One bullet more in the head will go a long way to ensuring your survival.

I don’t like this one…ammo is finite and should be conserved…preaching wasteful expenditure of a clip does not jive with this guy…if there is a zombie apocalypse give me your guns…i promise to only shoot you once in the head when you do…

Yeah, #4 contradicts #9.

#9: Guns Are for Hunting, Not for Zombie Killing – This one is simple. Guns need bullets. When your running who has time to stop for bullets? Keeping a shotgun with buckshot on hand is important but only when your pinned in and need a quick getaway. It’s not a proper means for killing zombies as guns run out of ammo and need reloading. Remember a Cricket Bat, or Toilet Lid do not need loading!

This is true, but if the zombie outbreak is caused by some blood-borne pathogen, you better hope you don’t get anything in your mouth or eyes. You also better hope you don’t have any cuts.

@piggofdoom Very true. Safest thing to have would be a oxygen/gas mask to prevent any blood splatter in the eyes or mouth. If you don’t have a gas mask, next best thing is bandanas to cover your mouth, sunglasses/goggles to cover your eyes.

i need to put together my own list of rules, a lot of these are ludicrous.

for example, in a survival situation, you dont hunt.  you trap your food.  this is a much smaller expenditure of energy, and is way more reliable.  if you must hunt, you do it with a pointy stick, not a firearm.  firearms are for defending yourself against other people with firearms.

of course, rule #1 on my list would be:  dont sweat it, zombies are hardly a threat.  the zombie apocalypse would never get to the ‘apocalypse’ stage.  its like imagining a narcoleptic apocalypse; how many people would really fall victim to it?

only a small percentage, most of them extremely dumb.  the rest of the world would clean it up long before society collapsed.

  awfully paranoid, arent you?

im not sure how youre getting it that jumbled to start with, but try this:

when you reply, dont click on ‘quote’, click on ‘add reply’.  after the postform loads, then click ‘quote’.

Here are some tat designs I made for a paramedic a few years ago. The “skin” versions are simulated skin, not real.
