As the title says, I’m going to my first show in 9 years tomorrow (long story, had a kid, got married to a controlling wife, you get the gist, plus after roughly 75 shows back in the day I was getting a little burnt out). I was thinking about it tonight and last time I went to one was before the cell phone age. So I’m wondering, what does everyone do to keep their cell phone safe from getting soaked with Faygo? Does your pocket offer enough protection? Do you leave it in the car?

Best bet is to leave it hidden in the car since, aside from the Faygo, you could also fall on it, or it might get kicked by a crowd surfer, fall out of your pocket, get stolen, etc. Otherwise, a zip top baggie works well. Or a big bag that you can wrap around a bunch of times to make it liquid proof.

Usually, my pocket keeps it from getting soaked cause my shirt covers my pockets, but I’ve been known to have a zip lock bag to put my pocket contents into cause when I used to smoke cigarettes, it was a bitch to have to dry out my pack after shows and to make sure my phone still worked.

It depends on whether you want to be in the front for all the madness or the back, best bet is lunch bags, put everything in there that you need. But I’ll be there tomorrow too though. Toledo is going to be off the hook.

Thanks for the tips, the plastic bag trick worked out well. My phone was the only thing dry at the end of the show. Nice to know at 36 years old this old-ass juggalo can still hang with the front row crowd lol
