rifles, shotguns, pistols, zip guns, whatever. who out there is into firearms?
my homie and i went shooting the other day, for the first time in a long while. id forgotten how much i love the smell of the smoke, the recoil slapping my shoulder, my ears cracking from the report. such fun.
even with lack of practice, i was shocked at how rusty ive gotten. we were there so my boy could zero his new rifle, but i brought a couple of mine, and even though theyre already zeroed for my eyes, i still had a lousy pattern at 100 meters. a couple rounds were like four inches off, which would be great for a novice, but i was expecting to hit the x ring with every shot. i used to be able to get a better grouping at twice the distance.
ideally, id get some target time in around twice a week, but these days ammunition is too expensive to throw off like that.
anyway, anybody else got the love? or do i look like the resident 'gun-nut?'

haha i have no idea what youre talkin about haha i went to a “shooting range” once when i was 14.. it was really just a riddled tree but i had fun

Don't own any firearms, but I have a katana, a bunch of throwing stars, and a pretty sweet sword. I wanna get this groundhog I got in my backyard. Motherfuckers destroying shit.

Don’t go to the shooting range much. But I do own guns. More people should have guns, I guarantee more criminals would think twice about breaking into houses if everyone had a loaded 12 gauge sittin in their closet.

Ive been shooting since I was 12 or so with my uncles out in Indiana, got my first 20 gauge shotgun when I was 16 and never looked back haha…Sadly right now the closest rifle range we can go shoot my boy's AR is an hour and a half away with traffic, so now I really only get to shoot pistols. I don't own any hand guns yet, and sold both my shotguns in stressful financial times, but I still get to pop off a few rounds every month at a local pistol range with my homie's 9mm S&W and his .38 special. Sometimes we borrow a .45 from the range to get that recoil fix. Ammo is expensive as fuck there tho so we always go stock up at Walmart where its literally half price…
If I ever get out of debt ive always wanted a Glock and my own .38, but not any time soon it seems.

no stars, but i have a katana and wakazashi [daisho]. they arent edged, but were purchased by my parents in japan, either shortly before or shortly after i was born, so i consider them personal treasures.

too true. nobody needs a shotgun, until they really need a shotgun.
regarding handguns, i find that i really dont have to have one, only reason to get one would be concealed carry, which isnt particularly necessary for me [yet]. picking up a good shotgun is a higher priority. ive always wanted to get a nice, high quality, 1911-style .45, though.

I grew up shooting, and have a decent collection to call my own. Currently, I own 2 9mms, a .22 handgun, 3 .22 rifles, an AR-15, an AK, a SKS, a 12 gauge, and a 7mm Rem. Mag. I grew up in a rural area and have been around guns my entire life. Got my first gun of my own at 12, and never looked back. I target shoot, hunt, and carry concealed (legally, with a permit).

If I had a gun I'd just shoot people.
Luckily I don't have a gun and I'm not currently searching for one.
Just saying though, if I had a gun I definitely would have shot people by now.

Scruffy: 1911-style .45
A dream of mine as well….I do plan on getting a conceal and carry when i eventually get a handgun, theres no point otherwise imo
