I meant it as a shortened term for hispanic.  In the Metro DC area I use it all the time to describe people of Hispanic origin because we have an influx of El Salvadorians, Mexicans, Peruvians, Dominicans, etc.  To me the blanket term “spic” encompasses all of the previously mentioned ethnicities.  Im taking it that it is not that way in the southwest, and I am sorry If i offended you.  If I had been intending to offend, there are a myrid of much more offensive slurs I coulda used man you know that much is true  “fam”.

 

Im with OMD, call me whatever unless its late to dinner.

i feel the need to rant when i come on this site. i dont get it, i jsut wanna yell at people for no reason at all.

oh and my favourite racial slur has to be a tie between porchmonkey adn jiggaboo. not for the racist usage though, they are just hilarious words. i call my little sister a porchmonkey all the time, because she is unemployed and sits on the porch alot.

i know a vietnamese whose actual name (english name at least) is charles. i never let him hear the end of it.

a friend of mine has a vietnamese husband and her dad still calls the poor guy charlie. in an offensive way too, not like a haha poking fun because your asian, like actually bad racist.
