To try and help break up all this political talk I figured it’s time for a giveaway contest. The winner will receive a CUSTOM faygoman pixel art bead creation! What makes it custom you ask? Well, the winner will get to chose the color of your faygoman. You can make it pretty much any color you want. Hell, I could even do some kind of realistic looking one with skin tone and different colored shirt/pants etc.
HOW TO ENTER: Entering is simple, all you have to do is comment in this thread what your favorite game for the NES was. Think back to those childhood days or even what you finally got to play after you downloaded that emulator. As a retro gamer i’m curious to see what has stood out to everyone out of that huge library.
HOW THE WINNER WILL BE CHOSEN: There was a giveaway on here a couple years ago done by yakkattack i believe, (Not %100 though) where everyone who entered was written on a piece of paper and and put in a can to be pulled out one by one and the winner was the last one in the can. I figure I will do the same because it shows that it was not a rigged contest with a stuffed can or anything and everyone gets a fair shot.
THE DRAWING: I will do the drawing on Monday September 25th. A week should be plenty of time for everyone to enter that wants to. Should be able to have the results and winner posted the next day on the 26th.
There will also be a small prize given to the ninja that comes in 2nd as a little piece of bonus flavor.

p.s. I will post a picture of my beaded faygoman so you have an idea of what it will look like. I cant seem to figure out how to post pics though.

Yessss! I love this!
My favorite NES game was probably Battletoads. My little brother and I used to play the fuck out of that game.
Honorable mention to Castlevania II, which I was horrible at but I loved watching my sister kick its ass.

Damn nes is too old skool for me….i started with snes…super mario world, donkey kong country and castlevania 4 are my biggest memories…the music and gameplay are legendary for those games…i never knew anyone with nes and i got snes when it came out when i was four years old…still to this day those three games provide me with chills whenever i see gameplay or hear music from those games.
MDCL for being a positive entity to this forum…this generation of flh, as far as i can tell, is the most united in flh history…all you mutha fackos are the shit, im glad yall are apart of my life.

NES was before my time as well. Luckily (or unluckily, really) my family was poor. So I got to enjoy relics like that that were handed down from my older siblings.
I also played their Atari growing up! Jungle Hunt was my jam.
But yeah, SNES was the system I played most, as that was actually current when I was a kid.
And Gameboy Pocket / Gameboy Color, of course.

Good lord, all you guys saying NES was before your time is making me feel old. My fav games and prob some of my fav memories revolved around our NES. One is with my mother and I beating Contra. ⇑⇑ ⇓⇓ ⇐ ⇒ ⇐ ⇒ B A (select) (start) infinite lives muthafacko! And another is when my father got hurt at work and became the housewife he ended up schooling me on PinBot, just a glorified pinball game. I think he gave me extra chores around the house and shit so he could maintain high score position and his Initials stayed on top. Mom became addicted to tetris and pipe dreams and soon after all this we bought sega where mom and I whooped toejam and earl together.

I am also too young for NES, but I always loved playing Duck Hunt.
My first true video game loves were Ocarina of Time and Goldeneye. And Paper Mario 64 still holds the title of my favorite video game.

Ohh, ocarina of time, goldeney, mario 64, DK64, tony hawk, conkers bad fur day, rush 2049, crusin usa and exotica and perfect dark all hold a special place in my heart too. The 90’s were a great time for video games.

Soooo…. Ive tried basically everything I can and still can’t seem to post pics on here. Since I figure it will be even harder to post a video of the drawing and results I am going to be extending this contest a little bit. New deadline will be the 1st of the month. Hopefully by then I can figure out the basic task of posting shit on here….(I know I’m technologically challenged) but it also gives more people a chance to enter!!!!

easiest way to post pics n videos is with the ‘insert/edit image’ and ‘insert/edit media’ buttons.
if they are posted up somewhere that you can link to, that is. all ya gotta do is paste the link under ‘source’.
for pics, a jpg, gif, or png can be uploaded through the attachments button. but since we just resetted again, its probably back to the minimum allowable file size limit. a meg, i think.
for youtube videos, a youtube link alone is enough. just paste and submit.

Kinda figured it was something like that. My phone pic is apparently too big to post. I tried the whole “attachment” thing and that’s how I found out. Just sucks that I may have to create a whole YouTube account just to upload one video to link here. But it is what it is since I decided to do a giveaway. Ill get it figured out though.
