Same old whining. Everything Twiztid does is the worst thing ever because J said they’re assholes.
Every rock song on here is exactly what they were trying to do on Mutant except much much better because they honed their craft. It’s not really that different. If anything I’d say it’s a modern Freek Show in the sense that Freek Show was combining the trends of hot topic rock and rap at that time and this one is combining today’s trends of hot topic rock and rap. Though, ironically enough I was recently listening to that skit at the end of Freek Show and that girl said if they started sounding like Blink 182 they wouldn’t have to kill themselves cause she’d kill them. Thought it was funny.
Twiztid makes emo pop punk/metal-core about 10 years after the trend and people throw a tantrum to call them sell outs. ICP does a poppy soundcloud rap song and for what ever reason the same people are completely silent about it or they make excuses on why that’s okay.
I don’t know, I’m an adult and I don’t do the immature angsty ‘fuck pop and the mainstream’ nonsense because I know it’s blatantly superficial. I just care about what sounds good and what they do sounds good. Might not like the genre, but they sure as hell are not phoning it in. They still give it they’re all. Personally I thought it was they’re best album since Abominationz. I know something has been missing from Twiztid albums for the last few that we all couldn’t put our fingers on, but I think I got what it was. Every album Twiztid (& ICP) do typically has it’s own sound or it’s own vibe. Almost like they’re reinventing themselves every project. The last few seemed more like they were trying to emulate what they’ve already done. Darkness and A New Nightmare were trying to emulate what they did on Abominationz and ?s was kind of lost in direction sounding more like they were trying to pull out different things from the past. Generation Nightmare has came back to that and has it’s own unique sound and vibe.

I like their MNE stuff haha.
And even if you don’t, based on what Monoxide said happened with their contracts and also on the Black Rain tour, I’m not sure why anyone would expect Twiztid to stay cool with ICP. It’s amazing they ever re-signed with Psychopathic after 2005. Let them be.

I’ve listened to Generation Nightmare a few times now and it’s really bad.
However I actually like the rock songs more than the rap songs.
I think they should have gone all in on the emo rock.
The only rap song I like on the album is Sick Mind everything else is shit in my opinion.
