That happened to a coworker of mine. He was sick from how badly his puppies got mangled. I’m completely against urban dogs as pets. They do not belong in a city. Cats either.

Sorry I know it sucks homie.

this is a little weird…

the other day, as i was leaving for work, a heard a growl and saw a bedraggled, starving-scrawny pit bull in the yard next door.  usually, i throw a bullet into aggresive strays near my house, but i had to split for work, so i growled back at it and left.

anyhow, next day theres a knock at my door.  its some guy i dont know and my landord.

the guy asks if i have a pit bull.  i tell him i dont, and am about to tell him that i just saw one, when he says,

‘a pit bull bull killed and ate two of my dogs.’  he has a very serious look on his face.

what this stray pit was doing in the yard, was eating the guys pooches.  he had been over there bagging up pieces of his pets.

odd side note, the stray had a collar, and a t-shirt.  like, it had a kids t-shirt on.

I have a quite well adjusted pit.  What makes me sick is the people who overbreed them, fight with them, and then release the inferior/fucked up ones as strays or kill them. They create alot of problems for a breed of loving animals who want nothing more than to please everyone they meet.  Unless they meet you trying to strike my girl, then you lose that hand.   My pit it sleeping right now in a ball with a miniture daschund, because I take care of training my animals i am not worried at all.

One time back in like 1998 I actually got attacked by a pit bull. I was walking to my homie Dave’s house (Dope D), and I had my headphones on so If it barked or made a lot of noise charging up to me I wouldn’t have heard it regardless. Talk about a surprise though, just bumpin’ some tunes and out of nowhere, POW!!!! It knocked me down and started tearing at my jacket, which thankfully was a big puffy Tommy Hilfiger one (Remember those? lol), and really only managed to do minimal damage to one of my arms. I still have the scar to this day, which has faded but you can still definitetly see it. It wouldn’t be as bad if I had just gotten stitches but I shook it off, had to go get high you know? Was very important to me back then, was just a gash about an inch long that never really healed right. Happened on a main street so even though the owner of the bitch got it off me and it only really attacked me for about 20 seconds or so (Felt like longer, believe it), someone had called the cops and we had to make a statement. I wasn’t gonna sue the family or anything, it’s not like they told the dog to attack me, they just left the fence open a couple seconds too long to their backyard, was an honest mistake. I don’t like court either, and how much was I really going to get? Doesn’t mean I wasn’t pissed though. I got my Fathers gun and was going to go down the street and shoot it, but my sister talked to me in time to tell me they would just trace the bullet back to the gun that fired it. Obvious I know, but when pissed off and scared of something, you don’t think too much about shit. So I didn’t shoot it. Instead, me and my sister a few nights later put a bunch of rat poison pellets into a raw strip steak and I snuck down the street that night and tossed it over their fence. I didn’t stay around to see if the dog would eat it, but apparently it did, because the next morning the police were knocking on our front door, asking if I had anything to do with it (I wonder if that tactic ever actually ever yields any actual confessions, probably not). The family and the cops knew I must have had something to do with it, but they could never prove it. Fuck that dog, death by poison to my understanding is quite a painful way to die too. Well, maybe she shouldn’t have attacked me. I still don’t feel bad about it, although since then, I have definitely had friends who have had some pit bulls that were cool as fuck and gentle to boot. Would play around with their kids, all that shit. It depends on how you raise them I guess. Pit bulls definitely have a bad rep, but it’s for a reason, some of them are very violent killing machines that will rip shit with a heartbeat apart. I like to think the dog I killed was one of those, but who knows. It’s not like I ever spent time with her getting to know her or anything.

The reason certain pits are like that is because people. Theyre not just born savages.

Growing up, there was this pit bull down the block from my house , barked at everything. All black dog, scary and mean looking. ( at least when I was younger it was) . I hated that dog. But he was fenced in, never got out or anything, so fuck em.

Apparently I wasn’t the only one who hated that dog, because some older guy walked up and shot the dog, when the police asked why, he simply said ” because I didn’t like that dog”. I mean, although I hated that dog, I felt bad when I heard this. That dog didn’t do anything wrong. Maybe that guy prevented a future problem, but maybe he killed some kids dog, and fucked his head up for life.

When I was younger, maybe 12, a lil dog got out and chassed me, I ran and screamed for help, climbed up a fence half way. This was the pussiest dog ever, and I was a lil bitch. But it scared the shit out of me. thing was probably no more than 20-30 lbs

a dog, in its natural state, is not exactly a savage.

but at the same time, it is very far away from a safe, domesticated animal.

mostly, theyre about the same as any other hunter/scavenger-type mammal.

like patjoyce, i also have some scarring from a dog bite, from a few years ago.  and, like frog, it was a little pussy miniature yappy piece of shit that did it.  i was severely tempted to stomp on it and squash the lil fucker into oblivion, but it belonged to my homies, and i dont see them very often, so i let justice fall by the wayside.

as you might expect, they [the owners] were all on some, ‘oh my god, he never, ever bites people!  i dont understand it.’

i understood.  it was a fuckin dog.  explains everything.

“An eye for an eye leaves the whole world blind.”  At the same time actions have consequences.  I think you overreacted Patty personally, It bit you so you poisoned it…not equivalent exchange.  That being said if my pit bit someone and it turned up poisoned, that person whether they admit it or not will not receive a pass.

It’s not just that the dog bit me (That hurt too though), it was all the fear I felt during the time of the attack. I didn’t see the owner coming, I wasn’t really seeing anything except the big black pit bull trying to tear my arm off. The sheer strength of the animal was amazing as well, scary shit. I’m not saying I didn’t overreact, I just don’t give myself a hard time over it. It happened, I can’t take it back. I honestly don’t even know if I would if I could, that’s the truth. I knew that I would never feel safe again walking down that street again so I did something about it.

The owners of the dog didn’t give a shit about me not admitting it, they knew I did it. The lack of a confession from me meant nothing to them. As far as prosecuting me for it, they couldn’t. They didn’t exactly call out the CSI:Attleboro crew to match up my footprints or glove fibers from the fence post. I don’t even know if they had that shit back then. The family could have tried to do something to me, they never did. I don’t now why.
