I recently helped the basehead from next door get the medical attention he desperately needs from the VA, and gave his now homeless methhead roommate hot meals & warm clothes to help him recover from losing his crib (their trap got shut down). We offered to drive him to a free clinic when he showed up here bloody from getting beat up, but no sale. Meth is a hell of a drug. I also stopped some tweakers from breaking into their first floor apartment with a crowbar (and likely getting evicted) around New Years by tracking down the maintenance guy for them and saving a window frame. They now call me “dear” regularly and offer me cocaine, to which I say “no thanks”.
