As for why doesn’t this catch on in other states, the whole drive-thru booze thing, I’m sure other states would like to, but New Orleans gets away with what other cities won’t. It’s like the theme down there, get drunk. More like get wasted. I have never seen any other product in my life, alcohol or otherwise, promoted like how alcohol is promoted in The Big Easy. They explained it to me like this: We give you a drink and then we give you a straw. We didn’t put the straw inside the drink so technically we didn’t serve you a drink. Hey, nice loophole you got there.
