The Walking Dead: Rise of the Governor is pretty good shit too.

And different from the AMC series. I’m currently reading The Dark Tower series by Stephen King. Sorcerers, oracles, zealots, robots… it’s like CNN without the ads.

That’s motivated reading material right there @ytlo . I’m currently reading a complete and illustrated history of the Marine Corps.

Krunk, welcome to the Ka-tet.

I’ve finally found how to sneak in reading. So I’m 120 pages into Stephen King’s “Cell” and flying through Scott Smith’s “A Simple Plan”. Ill be done with it by today, more than likely. Ive seen the movie years back and dont remember it all, but I’ll be watching it once I’m finished with the book.

there is a cell movie that they are making now with Samuel Jackson and John Cusack..Simple plan Sam Raimi movie was cool.

I go back and forth with reading..I have a short attention span..would rather watch a movie but I do like reading cuz its more detailed but I get bored easy..Last book I read all the way though was The Shining..I like the movie better..they are really different though..started Doctor Sleep but haven’t finished it yet…Im a slow reader.lol

I read Joyland recently by King and that was a good quick read..supposed to make a movie out of that too.

Dr Sleep was the last book id finished. Very good, not clsssic in my opinion. According to some of these FLH peeps, Joyland is good shit.

Shit that is a Raimi, aint it? Now im definitely copping it to watch again.

A Simple Plan was the shit. Scott Smith has another book that’s the shit called The Ruins. They made a movie out of that one too. Both books are WAY better. I’ve been reading a lot of Dean Koontz and Vince Flynn lately. Great shit.

I’m anti-movie lately, except for horror movies. All movies just seem the same to me now. A lot of of super hero bullshit. Those movies wouldn’t be my thing anyway, but the love interest angle that they all go for is just whack to me. All movies (except some horror) all follow a pattern, the same formula over and over again. Fuck that. I’d rather read anyway. Except when I’m drinking. I like to remember what I read, and when the words keep moving around, I just have a hard time following the story.

I feel you dude about shitty movies…seems like that’s all that come out is super hero crap or some cookie cutter bullshit.I don’t go to the movies much these days unless its a good horror movie or something that interests me which isnt much these days..even Anabelle looks really shitty/Conjuring was great..I went to see Tusk which was surprisingly good..Hollywood doesn’t take risks on movies anymore so that why we get the same shit over and over…same with music..to me its all about independent movies and foreign..they still take risks and are usually better than most mainstream American films…

Wow i did not.know it was the same.author, becsuse i loved The Ruins! Saw the film first, like Simple Plan, sidnt know either were a book. The Ruins book.is better but the innovativeness of the story shone trhough enough in the film to make me want to read. I think it was fucking classic. Actually scary to an extent. Ill have to check.out more from the guy after this. Simple Plan was his first novel it says.

Yeah, A Simple Plan was his first book, The Ruins was his second. I’m pretty sure they’re the only two that he’s written. Robert Smith is the shit.

@violentdope I love Kevin Smith movies but I haven’t seen Tusk yet. Clerks 3 is on the way soon.
