I agree with pretty much everything you just said, except for one thing. Regardless of how many people are willing to rush in and save the day, they’re not the ones calling the shots most times. Elected officials nowhere near the scene have to consider all the bleeding hearts of the community and how the voters are going to look at the course of action that’s taken. The chief of police answers to the Mayor I believe, and if the voters are pissed off at what goes down, somebody has to take the fall for that, and it’s not gonna be the Mayor. It’s all a huge clusterfuck, and in the end, somebody or some group will be more than ready and willing to bash you publicly, and sometimes, unfortunetly, that seems to be the main concern.

I like alex jones' message(minus the nwo part) but like lucem said dude is obnoxious and hard to watch. He is like bill maher always interupting people to get an extra few words out

Lucem……Even if your rant doesn't have alot to do with gun control I do agree almost totally with everything you are trying to say. But believe it or not the world is actually safer than it was 1,000 years ago. Don't take my word for it check it out.

And while I do agree that most people wouldn't stop to listen, I don't think it would do any good in alot of cases. You speak of medicine being dumped down our throats and being told there is something wrong with us basically from birth. Maybe alot of us really do start believing there is something wrong. But these shooters seem to be an anomaly.

I fit into the “broken home” cliche that you seem to be talking about, yet i've never shot anyone or seriously wanted to. Why out of the millions of down and out people are these select few white kids (and yes it seems to be white people who mass shoot and serial kill) acting out?

I don't believe we can ever find that answer and I also believe that there are those who don't care to be heard. They just want to inflict pain for whatever reason. I said this before but when james holmes got arrested he told the police he was “the joker” and this sums it all up for me. The scene where he sets the giant pile of money on fire in the warehouse. Some people will set the world on fire just to watch it burn.

We sit here looking for excuses and reasons but forget that there doesn't need to be a reason. That being said I have little moments in my life that reminds me not to give up on humanity. The guy returning a dropped wallet without taking money- The person that stops and offers a ride when you are broke down. WE ARE NOT HOPELESS

Scruffy….Maybe i'm a little confused here but how are you going to call for gun control in the same paragraph that you say you wouldn't give yours up?

Im not arguing that guns are made to kill shit. That's precisely what the are made for. So you take the guns out of hands of law abiding citizens, what are they left with to defend themselves against these perpetrators of mass violence? I do know that if there were trained armed officers at Sandy Hook it would have been alot less likely to happen. Maybe it would have still…..It's like if you put an alarm system on your house, people are alot less likely to continue breaking in and stealing your shit. A deterrent if you will.

Not to mention that if we give our guns up the government will no longer be afraid of its citizens….This my friend is called tyranny. Look up H J Res 15.

In closing I do agree that supplying everyone with guns probably wouldn't do much good but neither would taking them away.

This gun bill will cause a further divide in our nation and will create a class of criminals overnight. You would have to kill me before you took my guns….

I know it's a lot safer out there now, but my point is that people are giving less fucks. Yeah, there are a few people that will help you out in this world, I try to help as much as possible, but there are too many that just don't care. Have you heard about what happened to Bill Nye? I don't know how true this is, but I heard that Bill Nye was giving a speech in front of a crowd when all of a sudden he started having a seizure. People started pulling out there phones and video taping until he stopped having a seizure. He just gets up and asks why nobody called for an ambulance. Actually, I found it. http: / / latimesblogs.latimes .com/gossip/2010/11/bill-nye-the-science-guy-faints-usc.html

I wish I had an answer to that man. Maybe nobody gave a fuck in the first place and mass media is doing nothing more than spotlighting that. I do agree with you man. They didn’t help Nye because they were too worried about being part of the moment. Claiming their fifteen minutes (god damn andy warhol was a genius) at somebody elses expense. So they can be the one who “broke” the story on the internet

Around here if somebody dies of a car accident or an overdose, it becomes a race to see who can post about it first on facebook. Personally I refuse to have a facebook, but this is what i’m told by my friends. This forum is the only social networking I participate in besides actual life.

Maybe it’s just the nature of the human beast. IDK if you remember “Budd Dwyer” but he blew his brains out on national tv over some embezzlement charges. You can watch the video. When he does what does the cameraman do? He doesn’t shut it off and rush over to help, he pans the camera right over to budd so the world can see the blood coming out of his mouth and the top of his head.

Our self-awareness is a double edge sword. We are the only species that kills for personal gain.On the same token we are the only species capable of empathy and true love

I don't own any guns but gun control is wack. The more rights taken away from the people, the more violent and sick they become. Treat a person like an animal, they're gonna act like an animal. Crazy people kill people. Not the weapons. This has been going on forever. Can't believe people still debate it. Nobody could ever give an example that taking away rights of the people works lol.

Well like scruffy said the U.K. is a prime example. They have sooooo many fewer murders than we So it does in fact cut down on murders. The problem is it gives the government a insurmountable advantage over it's people. Which is why our founding fathers had the foresight to give us a second amendment in the first place. So we don't have people coming into our homes whenever they please, taking whatever they wish.

Alot of european nations are facing the same corruption and financial debt that we are currently facing here in america. The difference is over there the people will never be able to take back control, because all the power lays in the government.

That is one thing we still do have in our favor currently. Our government are still scared of the people and what we can do as a whole. The internet is our means of coming together in this age, and they are trying to regulate that now also with new cybersecurity bills.

Yes the central banking is the reason why I don't entirely rule out the NWO conspiracy. Well that coupled with the U.N. I hope these NWO conspiracy theorists are wrong. Because the last thing we need is a one world currency with a select few elitists controlling all the decisions of the world.

I for one can't wait to see how it all plays out
