Jeffrey Nothing (Mushroomhead Alumni) Addresses Not Being Part of the Ex-Faces Tour

As the Ex-Faces continue to sell out shows. Fans keep continuously asking Jeffrey Nothing why he isn’t part of the upcoming Ex-Faces tour alongside ex-members of Mushroomhead. Which lead to the former Mushroomhead frontman deciding to address why he isn’t part of the tour/shows in a lengthy social media post. You can read the full statement from Jeffrey Nothing’s personal social media pages below.

From Jeffrey Nothing Across Social Media:

This is going to be the last time I address The Ex-Faces thing in hopes that you guys stop asking me about it. This will also eliminate my need to respond to it when it does happen. I love answering and replying to all of you, so this is a blanket answer to a question that won’t go away.

When you ask me to join them, you’re asking the wrong guy. I did not start that project. I had no idea about it until it was announced, and I was never approached about it. So when you ask me to join them, what you’re asking is for me to go knock on their door and say “Guys, can I join?” Then from there there would have to be the obvious negotiations/ talks. That’s time and effort away from what I’m doing to try to talk my way into a project that just isn’t something that’s of great interest to me, nor does my involvement seem important to them apparently.

If you guys really wanna see me in that project, the best way to go about it is tell THEM, not ME. Until they reach out, it’s a 0% out of 0 chance.

And the reason for my last post was to gauge interest. I’ve been thinking a lot about MRH’s legacy lately. It would be a shame for it to eventually end with the fans divided and negativity. We worked way too hard on it for that. I’m willing to do what I need to do to preserve that. That doesn’t mean anyone needs to “go” or anything. What it does mean is that if they need me, I’m here. That legacy is much more of a priority to me than to tour with a cover band of a band I co-founded. Nothing against them. I hope it goes well and you guys have fun with it. There will be 3 projects touring this Summer playing songs that I wrote or co-wrote. That’s a win.

I’m very happy to be in the position I’m in. There was a minute I thought I’d never be on the stage again and thankfully that’s not the case.

Hopefully this sheds some light on that. I’m excited about the announcements that I have in the can. Stay tuned.

Also, the Jeffrey Nothing royalties lawsuit between Skinny (Owner and founder of Mushrooomhead) was recently settled. Jeffrey Nothing explained he has no animosity towards Skinny and won’t tolerate anyone bashing Skinny, especially after the Mushroomhead royalties situation was peacefully resolved between both parties. And Jeffrey Nothing has kinda hinted at leaving the door open to rejoining Mushroomhead.

From Jeffrey Nothing Across Social Media:

As a lot of you know, there has been an ongoing lawsuit between myself and my former band. I’m happy to report that the situation is settled and over.
From here out, there will be nothing negative about Mushroomhead or Skinny on my page. He came to the table amicably and honorably and we found a solution that made both of us happy.
Skinny and I founded Mushroomhead and it’s great to see the fanbase and community it has built. I’m proud of that and I know he is. Mushroomhead is his and I wish him the best. My creative baby is now my solo work. Will I ever work with Shroom again? Time will tell. I’m not against it. But I have no ill feelings either way. I want everybody to win.
Thank you all for your years of support and for having my back when it was needed, but from here on out it’s nothing but positivity in that direction. I said I was done with drama and I meant it. Love you guys!

Don’t miss Jeffrey Nothing during this years Milwaukee Metalfest!
