2015-03-08-14-13-49_2

FLH: Tell us who Flagrant is?

“I’m a true natured Juggalo.I grew up loving that wicked shit it’s in my blood line. it’s important for the readers to know that I’m not trying to ride off no one’s coat. I’m not looking to exploit this incredible genre that is known as that wicked shit! Personally I’m just looking to contribute to it.”

FLH: What inspires you to rap?

“There’s a couple of things that inspire me, there’s a passion that never dies I can honestly sit here and tell you that I thought I was going to be done rapping but it just so happens that all of my friends like 80 percent are in in the industry and they wouldn’t let me stop, a lot of people relate to each other, nothing to do with color, background, race if you connect and can help somebody and inspire somebody its something that I love doing and I really enjoy writing, “

FLH: What was the first release you appeared on?

“Let’s see, I would have to say Krazy Klan attack of the clones in 2004 with Lavel and Strict 9 and my homeboy Marko, yeah that was the first track, very rare, I actually heard it the other day , that was my first appearance on a track.”

FLH: When is your next project being released?

“It will happen by the end of May, some very fresh flavor and music coming soon to iTunes and possibly on tour as well.”

FLH: Are you an official native world artist?

“Yes. Native world is in a great place, theres so many artists and a lot of work being done,I am official and were coming up with that Detroit style, Detroit sound”

FLH: How did you link up with Keegan?

“I like that question, the creep ass of comedy- I used to be signed to Diamond Cutz ( Lavel’s label ) back in 2005 did a couple of mixtapes with him, couple of songs in that catalogue, my co label mate Hysteria – Keegan was one of my biggest fans, like a teenager, nerdy and funny as fuck, he used to hit me up on Myspace all the time back in the day, I seen him in 2012 with spider ( Psychopathic security ) and he explained to me who he was, and we been riding together since then. He’s got a lot of stuff coming out, he`s on native world as well and were doing some stuff together.. he was my first real fan and now he`s my homie, creep ass of comedy”

FLH: How did the Detroit4 reel channel start?

“What happened with that was, ABK and Keegan they went on tour and we actually were filming footage on the road on the tour because we got those road fools DVD out. Keegan is silly and I am silly crazy and we have so many funny moments we don’t record, so we literally was sitting backstage and talked it up like we should just do a web show and everybody jumped on board and we had a lot of footage that we used up from before and we had to make it in smooth order, just hard because everyone’s so busy. And we just made it happen”

FLH: Are we going to see monthly or weekly episodes of the d4r show?

“Right now just one a month but we do plan to make it a weekly thing  but with all the other projects we have lined up that its going be crazy, we have such a fucking dope roster coming up with Native world and all the artists are connected, either through same neighborhood or we know each other for years, it’s just going be a big ass explosion going off in native world.”

FLH: How did you get involved with ABK?

“ABK aka Jamie is my homie, we been homies since we was 15, we literally grew up together and he was also one of my best friends with Dangelo jones and strict 9, we been doing music since we were teenagers, reason people hearing of me now is because I was involved in some not so happy times at the time and caught a murder case and went to prison. Because I didn’t want to rat anyone out, I was in prison for 15 years and when I came out everyone had reached out and supported, that’s why you always see me with ABK we best friends, we had same dreams we all hung out together, we had our little clique Strict 9 , ABK we all from the same hood, Twiztid, R.O.C. had they own little crew too – Paul’s bro Jeremy hung out with me and we been doing music since music began in Detroit city, and he’s my dawg and he never forgot about me, time to release that Krazy Klan flavor, some real dope shit in store for y’all”

FLH: Will you be appearing on every episode of the warpath on psychopathic radio?

“Gonna try my damnest to keep my fat black ass on the warpath, fingers crossed. I am a dad and I have a job but I wanna make it, we have lots of fun there and wanna be a regular.”

FLH: Will you be appearing on any upcoming projects with strict 9 and abk

“There’s a Native World sampler that will be put together and we actually have a lot of songs ABK and myself if you remember the Detroit warriors mixtape .ABK had  a stint of time he was contractually free and we actually released a lot of music and I released a solo album during that time as well. Strict 9 and I will also release some music together real soon and my next solo album will feature both of them for sure.”

FLH: How did the track “Christine” come about?

“That’s a dope story, we were all hanging out, Abk,Lavel,Strict 9 my brother chuck rock he does the DJj stuff for us, he appeared on Detroit warriors track take it to the face.We were at Lavel’s house around Halloween time, and that was the first time I seen ABK since I got out of prison,.Everyone seen me and we had such a great time together that night and he said “ We need to do a Krazy Klan track” and at that time Lavel and ABK were doing production and artist work for Psychopathic so it was a honor for me as a homie to do that track. It was just a Halloween track and it came together so easy and flawlessly that we did it in one take. That’s that Krazy Klan magic. We were fucked up and high and completed the track in an hour. We really big on Halloween and I think that was a story of someone was messing with some ugly chick and ended up in bed. We just took the story and made the track”

FLH: Why did it take so long to film a video for Christine?

“Honestly, we had no intentions to make a video for it. We were just kicking it listening to old music and the song came on and it was just like we never filmed a video for that. It’s like in the 70s when the charger came out and it was dope, then it came out again years later and it was doper just like the track it was even more dope years later. We wanted at the time to re-release it to the new Juggalos and stuff, it was a fun song, great energy and if you look at the video you see Jaymo. Jamie Logan and Larry Hughes everybody remember us just like that, you can see the chemistry we used to get fucked up like that and talk about doing shit like that shooting videos and doing shows”

FLH: How has the reception been from fans who may not have heard the song originally ( released on orange/black ) but finally heard you from the video?

“So far very positive, a lot of people weren`t familiar with Christine so it’s been good, new fans showing lots of support “

FLH: Can we expect more music videos in the future?

“We expect more music videos in the future. We have a music video that will be shot on March 27th for one of my tracks. And strict 9 just shot a new video and then we going to do another old school classic video shoot for true smoker. It’s just some old school throw back flavor. “

FLH: Where can people buy your music?

“It will be on iTunes for sure and all the places you can go for digital, the cd will be available in the native world store when it drops and we about to make the catalogue bigger and lots of new merchandise added with all the new artists. I can`t reveal just yet who will be on native world but it will be huge”

FLH: Where can people contact you?

“There will be webpages for all native world artists but for now you can reach out to me on Facebook for some collaborations or anything business wise.”
