FAYGOLUVERS EXCLUSIVE Interview with B. Dolan

100_1459The other night I recieved the pleasure of meeting up with B. Dolan of Strange Famous Records in Buffalo, NY. For those who may be unfamiliar, SFR was started by Sage Francis, whom B. Dolan also has a side project with, called “Epic Beard Men.” B. Dolan, originally (and currently) from Rhode Island, has released two full-length albums, an EP, and is currently at two volumes of his “House of Bees” mixtape series. On top of all that, B. Dolan is very involved with local activist groups, especially supporting LGBT rights.

This interview, while very casual and humorous, hits on quite a few key points. We get a good inside look at B., who surprisingly is quite knowledgable of the Juggalo/horrorcore community, as well as his feelings on the hip hop scene today. Here’s a few of the topics we discuss:

  • His meeting up with Sage Francis and becoing part of the SFR team
  • He makes an exclusive announcement about upcoming albums
  • His musical influences and upbringing
  • The meaning behind his music, and his writing process
  • His opinion on Juggalos and horrorcore (including him and Sage watching the Twiztid Tour Documentary)

After the interview I included live footage of his track “Kitchen Sink,” from his ‘Fallen House, Sunken City‘ album.
