In the latest issue of Popular Science there is a short write up about a Juggalo Researcher. The researchers name is Rahima Schwenkbeck, who is a Ph.D candidate at George Washington University.
Rahima studies Juggalo culture to learn how ICP has become a cult-like success despite being considered “The Most Hated Band In The World.”
According to this article she watches Juggalos at the merchandise tables to record purchasing habits. While at the Gathering she goes stealth to take in the musical acts, wrestling and to watch “Psychopathic Karaoke.” The one thing she will not do is swim in “Lake Hepatitis.”

What a dipshit. Who would piss off a GWU Phd on this? Talk about a useless skill set. What does she intend to contribute with this bullshit? The anthropology metaphors are growning pretty tiresome… We get it, Juggalos are basically fucking animals to be studied like a pod of chimps. She is one of many trying to learn behavioral patterns of those that follow musicians/celebreties/movies in a cult like, almost slave like, manner. Not only is she examining the behavior of those that follow but the leaders, what exactly are the key elements that a cult leader uses to control it’s audience. Ultimately after each cult following has been evaluated the analysis’ will be used by a hidden government to control the masses.
She happens to be doing the analysis of juggalos and the insane clown posse, one of the most notorious cult followings to sprout out into popular culture.
