While i was randomly searching on Google for news articles i happened to come across a funny story about hackers. According to Ubyssey.ca, the UBC Food Services website was defaced last night by hackers claiming to be part of Anonymous group.

You are probably asking what that has to do with Juggalos or ICP? Well it turns out they used pictures of ICP and the Ringmaster to make it look like a fan page for the Insane Clown Posse.

I found a couple article about this and i posted one below, but both stories are linked under the website section at the bottom of the page. You can also see a screen cap of what the website looked like with the ICP theme.

I normally do not post my opinions in stories i post on FLH, but i feel i should add this neither I or FLH condone hacking websites. This was just a random story i found that i thought had some humor to it.

Internet pranksters took over a University of British Columbia website over the weekend and reimagined it as a fan page for the Insane Clown Posse, reports the Ubyssey.

According to the UBC student newspaper, the Food Services website was defaced in honour of the Detroit hip-hop duo for about 12 hours before IT fixed the problem.

“We have a new tech and I guess we put the procedure in place to make sure that after he makes changes he hardens the site after. It’s a training issue,” IT manager Chris Yong told the paper.

For the uninitiated, Insane Clown Posse is a rap-rock duo that performs in clown make-up, has a vast army of fans knwon as “Juggalos” and still marvels at the power of magnets. So while it’s tempting to think the hackers were huge ICP fans — or simply irate at the food options on campus — it’s more likely whoever changed the site scanned the Internet for any vulnerable domains and essentially chose UBC Food Services at random.
