Coming out of the Eden of THC, sunny California, the next spotlight is on Skuzzz. First hearing of Skuzzz when The Scrubb and I were throwing the Green Tapes together, I was impressed by what I heard. I must not be the only one because he’s been opening for people like Project Born, KMFDM, (hed)PE, Big B, J-Richter, Cutt Calhoun, Anybody Killa (yeah, I just copy and pasted that, so what lol). He is also doing a show this Saturday in Red Bluff, CA featuring none other than the Axe Murder Boyz!!! (AMB is the motherfuckin shit too, so you know that show is going to be off the hook).

FLH: Skuzzz is an interesting name. How did you come up with it?

Skuzzz: Well it was brought about and created by MRs . JadeRabbit herself, the brain behind the BRAIN..lol…The tripple zzz, dont sleep on me. I’m coming, so wake the fuck up…the rest conceiled.

FLH: Who would you consider as an inspiration?

Skuzzz: I am inspired by life, death, murder, chaos, kind acts of love, sexxxx, drugs, rock and roll, sprits that bless and watching over mine. Demons in the creepy shadows, hiding and waiting. Angles soaring above hawking and protecting all my moves and directions I take …or have taken. Sweet mary jane and all her wonderful intoxications…she stays BLAZING…kids and family always , the reason for breathing.

FLH: What is your favorite Faygo flavor?

Skuzzz: Rock n Rye hands down homie…

FLH: How long have you been doing music for?

Skuzzz: I have been doing music all my life, been drumming and in and out of bands.. As far as rapping though, it has been only four and a half years I’d been rapping and writing freestyes.(February of next year will be 5 years since release of my first ever releases..FRESH FROM THE GRAVE. February 2007..) Love writing and freestyling my brains collections stored for that day..Lmao..word

FLH: What do you think makes you unique from other artists?

Skuzzz: I definitely don’t conform, that’s for damn sure..ughhh..I choose to do whatever I feel suits my self that show, determine my attire. Relaxed with no paint or mask or anything, just me and chilling..OR very theatrical…(no boundries , fitn theme I do, masks, paint, half-half) Or half paintish /chilling …Like I said killa, Cali representin’ til death…I ain’t no look-a-like or carbon copy …straight me… Spitting sixteen bars hotter then lighting up sixteen candles..Bring new sound as well, style, voice, energy….outlook/expands one’s horizon.

FLH: You had a couple track on The Scrubb’s Green Tape V1. Who else have you gotten to work with?

Skuzzz: Nobody to tell the truth. Been trying to get a hold of peoples , but never can seem to get a follow through. Besides that I did it all with homies WDC, Vanncutt, DJ Scrubb. That’s about it, no other collaborations but always down to do some.

FLH: Who would you like to work with in the future?

Skuzzz: Psychopathic records, Strange Music artists(especially Tech N9ne), Potluck, Kung Fu Vampire, Americaz Most Haunted, Ice Cube, Lil Wyte, and toooo many to name, but soooo many options.

FLH: You had show with Savzilla. Who else have you done shows with?

Skuzzz: Project Born, KMFDM, (hed)PE, Big B, J-Richter, Cutt Calhoun, Anybody Killa, Cid Vorheez, local artist. (Canceled shows with KFV, Wolfpac, Lil Wyte, MARS, last show Psycho Jesus, Saintdawg which sucked! lol)

FLH: What do you have coming up? Any CDs, merchandise, music videos, etc in the works?

Skuzzz: I am finishing up on my release of the THE UPS-et, currently have street give away mixtape entitled KNIFE CUTTZzz…Vol#1, FFTG, 1stLP, and merch videos and websites all coming reall soon, self grinding. Hoping sooner than later.
