SeKTiON 8

SeKTiON 8 - "Wicked Party Music Sampler" HaHa of SeKTiON 8, CracKajak, and RaBBiD - "Depression"

Sup juggalos and juggalettes and mental patients a like. It’s your boy BeZerk back from hibernation mode with some motherfuckin freshness for your ears. Sorry I been slacking on the UGS’s, but been busy entertaining a very beautiful lady, so you can’t blame me. Just remember though juggalos, no matter what, I’ll always have some kind of freshness for you, because the underground never dies.

This interview has long been overdue. Why? I don’t fucking know. Probably because I am busy, but juggalos, may I assure you SeKTiON 8 is nothing but some wicked freshness that I know you all so adore. Made up of the insane duo of HaHa and Robot Face, SeKTiON 8 comes out of Polk County, Florida bringing you dope flows to sick beats (all mixed and mastered by the mad scientist himself).

Doing shows with Mushroomhead, (hed)PE, Blaze, ABK, and more, SeKTiON 8 have been pounding in faces to mental patients for a couple years now (though both have been doing music for their life time). They also have a dope ass album that I know you’ll all love called “Wicked Party Music” which is coming out next month. If you’re in the area though (I sure as hell am not lol), you can check out the CD release party show on the 24th of September, in which you can get the CD 3 weeks prior to it’s release date. So check that show you if you’re in the area. You know it’ll be good.

Well, juggalos, I think I’ve summerized this enough. Know that I have some more fresh fucking interviews coming out with Skuzzz, DJ Fillin, Molly Grewsum, and a very special secret Halloween interview that will send shivers down your spine. I also have an extremely large interview that has nothing to really do with the underground, but I figured it would be a wonderful opportunity. That interview will be with none other than former Black Panther, political activist, radio journalist, and death row inmate Mumia Abu Jamal. If you have any questions for Mumia, I will be taking them this week only from September 6th, 2011 to September 11, 2011. You can submit them to[email protected]. If you don’t know who Mumia is, here’s a track he did for one of my favorite musicians, Immortal Technique.

Interview for: SeKTiON 8
Members: HaHa and Robot Face
From: Polk County, FL
Record Label: The mental ward and associates

FLH: How did you guys choose the name Sektion 8?

HaHa: When we started doing this I was staying in a section 8 apt. complex. It fueled not only our name, but also our first EP. which we called “Poverty”. We’re not strangers to being broke, which I’m sure that’s something a lot of people can relate to.

FLH: Who do you guys consider as an inspiration?

Sektion 8: We grew up on all the best music everything from ICP AND TWIZTID to ICE CUBE and HED PE. But as far as our inspiration sometimes, it doesn’t even come in the form of “who,” but “what”. But all in all its the love that our fans (The mental patients) show. That shit is the ultimate inspiration to keep you going. No lie.

FLH: What are your guys’ favorite Faygo flavor?

HaHa: I gotta go with Kiwi-Strawberry and Moon Mist all day

Robot Face: Anything mixed with Jager.

(*BeZerk here* I agree with Robot Face)

FLH: How long have you guys been doing music as a group and individually?

HaHa: Individually, we have been doing music practically all our lives. We both started off in bands, and then after a while that led into us making beats on the computer. We took a break with music after our daughters were born. And then just recently in Sept of 2010 we formed SeKTiON 8 and started assassinating ear drums on the regular.

FLH: You’ve worked with a few underground homies. Who are they?

HaHa: We have done collabs with some of the coolest dudes to not only work with..But to have the pleasure of knowing and being friends with. Big shout outs to our label mate Rabbid, Oz tha Creepa, and our homies Epidimic, Phazoe and Blackground. If you haven’t heard of them look them up!!!!

FLH: Who would you like to work with in the future?

HaHa: We’re working on setting up something with our friendly ghost friends the Boo Clan which a lot of fans have been asking for. But all in all we like working with real people that are down to earth…we don’t care how many albums you have sold in Japan…all we care about is putting out great music for the mental patients.

FLH: You’ve opened for ABK, Blaze, and (hed)PE just to name a few. Who else have you had the chance to share the stage with?

SeKTiON 8: This year has been pretty busy and we’ve only just begun. Just this year alone we have done shows opening up for Bizzy Bone and The DRP, ABK, we had the pleasure of opening up for Blaze and Boondox, (hed)PE, and Mushroomhead, and we have also done A LOT of local shows as well with good friends: Rabbid, Epidimic, D-Murder, 2face, and more.

FLH: You guys are about to drop an album, and just recently released the first single to that album earlier last week. What can you tell the juggalos about this album?

HaHa: We just released the first single called “The Overdose” off of our new album “Wicked Party Music”. It’s our first studio release AND full length album. We have been busting our asses on it in between all of our shows, and we just recently took a 2 month break from shows to finish it up. And we made this album with EVERYONE in mind…Juggalos,Juggalettes, Mental Patients, Technicians, Maggots….EVERYONE!!!! It’s 22 tracks of wicked funk, and we want everyone to bump it and enjoy the sounds of HaHa the escaped mental patient turned mad scientist and his machine Robot Face!!!

FLH: What else do you guys have coming out? Any merch, solo projects, music videos, etc?

HaHa: We just started a fresh Pre-order for “Wicked Party Music” which comes with a limited edition hard copy of the album, a limited edition mini-poster and also comes with a free digital copy of HaHa’s solo album “The Mental Ward EP” so if you havent already done it…go to this link >TheMentalWard.bigcartel.com and do it!!!!

The album drops Oct 15th, Pre-orders end Sept 17th and then we start back on shows Sept 24th Kicking it off at our home town spot at Evolution Records in Lakeland, FL, and from there its grind time. Somewhere in between the madness we plan on filming a video for a single off of Wicked Party Music. And our manager will be booking us shows all through this year and thru 2012. We’re currently planning for us and our homie Rabbid to hit up as many states as possible for promoting both our new album and also Rabbids new album (The Mental Breakdown EP). So artists…let’s trade some shows to bring the wicked party to your town…fans….demand that the wicked party hits your town and booking agents and promoters….GET ON YA JOB!!!! For booking info email us at [email protected]
