Faygoluvers: The first question I usually like to ask is where did you guys come up with the name Hotbox Boys and your stage names?

Prophecy: Well our name originated from a day all three of us were rolling out to pay a bill for Ry’Ry, and we had a few blunts of some superskunk. We were blazing,hotboxing the whip, freestylin to some beats, and then all of the sudden Prolifik had said some shit about how we are the Hot Box Boyz in his freestyle. We all looked at each other in a pause, and said that was the shit. That was our groups name!! Ever since it has either been hotbox official, or it ain’t right!!

Ry’Ry: Our stage names have been around for a while now. Prophecy has been runnin wih that name for about 6 years; Even when he lived in South Carolina, that was his nickname. Since he has such a complex style, I personally believe he deserves a great name as such.

My name Ry’Ry has been my nickname since I was fresh out my momma’s neden hole. It has stuck with me over 24 years of life…

Prolifik has had his name since he started rappin with his homeboy insanity in a group called Colt 45, that had a lot to do with Wicked Wisconsin when they first started about three and a half years ago.

Faygoluvers: The second questions I usually ask is, who inspires you or are some of your inspirations?

Ry’Ry: Ry’Ry: My grandfather Jerry Lindsey. He was a country singer signed with Jewel Records back in the day, and also my mother and father. Kottonmouth Kings and the whole Subnoize movement, Insane Clown Posse of course, my muthafuckin dead homie BLAZE, the whole psychopathic family, and also the whole Strange Music fam. What up Trav.. Tupac Shakur, Biggie Smalls, and of course all our fans and family out there,WHOOP WHOOP!!!

Prophecy: Tech N9ne, my dad, Bone Thugs N Harmony, and the people who like to hear our music.

Prolifik: I’m inspired by life really, all the pain and speed bumps that I’ve went threw that really helped me express my voice. All my true fam and homies that push me. It puts a lot of drive into my work as well. I’ve just been a fan of music since I can remember. I can’t even count how many pairs of headphones teachers would take from me. I like all types and styles of music, from 2pac to Hank Williams Jr the 3rd, and almost anything and everyone thats afiliated with the Underground/Horrocore.

This show will consist of my homie Mars from Mad Insanity Records, that killa and Low Life F. Dux, Hot Box Boyz of course, some other local acts such as 4duece, Murdermatt, Critta, Bloodluzt, and my close homies Psycho Sick Asylum.

Faygoluvers: Do you guys have any new projects or merchandise in the work? Where can the juggalos get it?

Prophecy: Yeah, we have a new album in the works with many of them collabs I was tellin you about before. The album will be released Summer 2011, and we do have t-shirts available for you at shows, and we are currently workin on our online store@ HotBoxBoyz.BigCartel.com. We will have two or three different styles of shirts, and our album at the store by sometime Summer 2011.

Ry’Ry: We are also open for collabs!! Solo, group, doesn’t matter. Get at us for inquires, we will work with your budget.

Prolifik: Be sure to keep your eye out for all new freshness JUGGALOS for that all three of the members are delivering a SOLO Project/Mixtape that will split ur fuckin wig! Expected early Summer 2011.

HBB: We are currently working on setting up a small promotional tour in the summer for our album release (through the Midwest states). Ry’Ry: I gotta say man, there is a lot of good ass strands of bud out there, and I had some cheese cannibus cup winner. That shit was amazing, but there is nothing like some good ol’ Humboldt County. Those folks know how to harvest the best.

Prolifik: That is tough ‘cuz HBB has done nothin but travel state to state and smoke the best of the best, but personally if you just get your hands on some WestCoast HighTest, you won’t have to say no more

Prophecy: Northern Lights is my favorite. I only had smoked it once 7 yrs ago, and I still can taste it.
