Sup juggalos and juggalettes and Low Lifes out there. It’s the crazy ass homicidal maniac BeZerk here to bring you my first ever interview with a DJ. For my first DJ interview, I had to get my boy B_EaTS out of his sex slavery and see what the fuck he had to say.

Working closely with the infamous tyrannical t-bagger known as F. Dux, DJ B_EaTS can scratch fires on the turn table (have footage from the concert of him screwing up though lol). He also makes B_EaTS, so if you are an underground musician that needs beats, it’s just as easy as B-EaTS (and don’t worry, he’s extra easy).

Faygoluvers: So, Dux likes to joke and says that your name means Brandon EATS, but what does your name really mean, and how did you come up with it?

DJ B_EaTS: Haha! I originally called myself B_EaTS from day one. I actually gave myself the meaning behind the name as a joke on my weight (I’m a big guy). The first time I met F. Dux, he asked me what my name meant so I told him. Needless to say, he got a kick out of it and has been making up other funny nicknames for me ever since. So to answer the question, Dux is not joking…that is what my name stands for as well as a play on words because I make beats and DJ.

Faygoluvers: Who are some of your inspirations?

DJ B_EaTS: Non-musically my mother is the greatest inspiration to me. She has done more for me than I have amount of space to write. Musically, I am inspired by many. I was first intrigued to start DJing when I heard a group called The X-Ecutioners. The amount o perfection and teamwork that they put into tracks is phenomenal. My other inspirations include The Scratch Perverts, Mr. Hahn, Dj Shadow and Dj Green Lantern. I have all the respect in the world for REAL DJs, not mixtape DJs.

Faygoluvers: What is your favorite Faygo flavor?

DJ B_EaTS: I’m a Phat kid, I love them all haha. If I had to choose, my favorite would be the sugary goodness known as Moon Mist..

Faygoluvers: How long have you been doing music for? How long have you been DJing?

DJ B_EaTS: I have been making music for close to a decade now. Semi- professionally and professionally making music for about six years. I have been DJing for around five years.

Faygoluvers: How long have you been working with Durty Dux for?

DJ B_EaTS: I started working with Dux back in February of 2010. It feels like it has been much longer because he and I connect really well, have accomplished so much and still have major opportunities ahead in our careers!

Faygoluvers: You and I go back to when you hit me up for an interview for F. Dux (That’s right juggalos. This phat homie of mine is the reason that interview with Dux happened). Back then you were promoting the Welcome to Granville, which dropped in early February. What did you do for that album?

DJ B_EaTS: Haha well the interview happened because of Dux’s talent….shit, I was just the word of mouth that brought it to Faygoluver’s attention. For the Welcome to Granville album, I had very little to do with it musically. I however put most of the imagery together for it ( besides the front cover, which was taken by Kevin Jordan @ The Photo Dojo). I mainly played a role in the promoting and manufacturing of the album.

Faygoluvers: What do you guys have planned next for CDs, mixtapes, collabs, music videos, or merch?

DJ B_EaTS: F. Dux is dropping a new album in the summer title “Alcatraz: Banned From Society” which is going to feature the hottest, most talented artists the underground has to offer. We just dropped a music video for the title track “Welcome to Granville” which was also shot by Kevin Jordan @ The Photo Dojo. Maniac and F. Dux are also scheduled to release a follow up “Daywalkers” album later this year. We have a whole new line of Low Life merchandise coming out this summer that includes new shirts, tank tops, bracelets, necklaces and women’s underwear. Also, the biggest news is that we are going to begin filming in May for a full length movie that will be out this Winter!!!!

Faygoluvers: Who is Ricky, and what does he do?

DJ B_EaTS: Ricky is one of the greatest attributes to Low Life Entertainment…..HE FUCKING ROCKS!

Faygoluvers: You guys were cool enough to drive like 3000 miles to come perform at the Hopsin show on April 8th at the 400 Bar in Minneapolis (in front of the Samolian ghetto). The night before, you guys went and did a show with good friend Maniac the SiouxperNatural and Night Shield. Then on that Sunday, you guys bounced to Janesville, WI to do a show with Hopsin/SwizZz, Mars, Hot Box Boyz, and more. How did that go?

DJ B_EaTS: The show in Janesville went really well. There were some good acts that brought heat to the show. Hopsin and SwizZz killed it once again and were some of the best people to put a show on with!

Faygoluvers: So, you guys have a huge show coming up. Tell the juggalos about it, and the next few after.

DJ B_EaTS: First big show we have coming up is the Wicked Weekend Festival in May @ Station 4 in St. Paul, MN. The second huge show is taking place on 7/26/11 in Charlotte, NC @ TREMONT MUSIC HALL and is none other than the TECH N9NE ALL 6’s AND 7’s TOUR! We are also in the works of going on tour with another well known underground artist this winter! It has been a very blessed year for us and continues to get better each day!
