Faygoluvers: So first off, tell us about Homiside. i.e. where yer from, how long you been in the game, etc.

HomiSide: Im from Rochester Newyork born n raised , i been in the game since 99′ and the rest well… you can read my complete bio that is on myspace/homiside

Faygoluvers: What kind of projects have you worked on in the past?

HomiSide: Well from the year 1999 up until about 2005 I was in a group called The Nitebreed with my long time & still to this day, homie, KC. We dropped a few Lp’s, along with a few Eps and 3 mixtapes. All in all it was a great time in my life as far as the music goes.

Faygoluvers: Whats currently in your cd player?

HomiSide: Shiiiit I listen to so much music its crazy but i guess i can break it down to what i mainly listen to and that would be Guns n Roses, 2pac.

Faygoluvers: Who have you worked with in the past and who do you wanna work with in the future?

HomiSide: Well i’ve worked with tons of underground cats mostly in my city just recently i did a track slated for my debut solo album with my boy Kutt Calhoun of strange music …but in the future i’d enjoy doin some shit with tech n9ne, immortal technique, lil wyte, Twiztid, Atmosphere.

Faygoluvers: Every artists has good stories from the road, tell us one.

HomiSide: Well this is a hard question alot of shows and people and experiances have been kinda blurred together but i guess i gotta say doin shows with tecca nina and partyin with him kutty and the rest of the strange music family til the sun comes up thats always a crazy time…

Faygoluvers: If someone asked you to describe your music, what would you tell them?

HomiSide: Listen to it, then tell me.

Faygoluvers: What label are you signed with, if any, and tell us about them.

HomiSide: I am currently signed to Belligerent Entertainment. Along side, Isylum (Big K and Bounce Boogie) –CEO’s of the label, Mnemonic (Donnie Mac & J-Bling), Fadead, Jex, A-dizz, Imfamous D, and Hickweed. All i can really say is its a label with a whole lot of talented musicians, very business oriented and street smart. You can check out Isylum at isylumhiphop.com and peep there latest release called “Unscripted”.

Faygoluvers:  Whats yer drink of choice?

HomiSide: BEER.

Faygoluvers:  Whats yer favorite city/venue to play in?

HomiSide: Worcester, MA @ club oasis, very nice venue.

Faygoluvers:  Who have you performed with in the past?

HomiSide: Oh god i wish i could name off all the artists i’ve done shows with but i really cant only because i cant remember specific names..so ill try my best i apoligize in advance if i leave anybody out Contac, Isylum, Fadead, Critical Bill, The faction, suburban assault, KC, Jex, Tech N9ne, Boss, Lost Nation, Delusional, Sub Soil, Optix, Potluck, Tremendous, dj massacre,mk,backwoods butchers, Frantik,Dr Gigglez, The faction, Shock Therapy, Napaulm, all the acts at the bomb house, club chaos, and the jumpoff from GOTJ 06,Psych Ward, Young Millionaires, Abraxis A.D., and yea…thats all i can really remember off the top of my head i know im leavin off soo many artists but its really hard to remember.

Faygoluvers:  What makes HomiSide different from the billion other artists out there?

HomiSide: Ummm i dont know man this a hard question to answer but honestly a whoooole lot of artist’s songs have a similar flow or beat or rhymes and i must say all my tracks sound nothing like the last one i can spit slow or fast, happy or mad, party type shit or some real deep lyrics but i guess the world can be the judge of that.

Faygoluvers:  Where can people learn more about you and check out your music?

HomiSide: 187HipHop.com.

Faygoluvers:  Rant time, you get 20 sentences to say whatever the hell you want. GO!

HomiSide:  First and foremost i’d like to thank pope, scottie d and the rest of faygoluvers for the support and always posting my flyers n shit like that. MUCH LOVE to psychopathic records for inspiring me to get into the music game so long ago. I love drinking beer, and guess what…iam drinking beer right now. Fuck the police and the law, fuck you for snitching on me and leaving my life to result in mass amounts of court cases, loss of thousands of dollars, probation and jail time, You know who you are bitch. Props to my boys DC and Pete Raptor so being my mentors when i started out. My girlfriend is a fuckin freek :-) and shes beautiful. The dallas cowboys shit on everyother team, i love football by the way. I will kick your ass in Madden 07. RIP Myzery. I am a juggalo for life. The gatherings are some of the greatest times i’ve had in my life, props to all the ninjas i’ve met at the gatherings over the past 3 years. Red is my favorite color. Peabody’s bouncers in cleveland are a bunch of fuckin bitches.Jex sucks at madden 07. My latest album is called 2 be continued vol 1, with 28 tracks on it, 0 skits, and you can purchase it at cdbaby.com/cd/homiside. Ahhh my brain is fried right now im done with this 20 sentance SHIT!

Faygoluvers:  What do you think of the current state of the “industry?”

HomiSide: Well i feel like the industry is more fucked then it has been in a long time. we all know the pop phenonmeon has be on top of the music world for a long time now but for a while now respected rappers have been selling out for the mainstream hype and money. i could go on forever on this shit because i hate the industry like mostly all underground cats, but like i said its fucked, and very shady. money is really everything in the world of music, talent hasnt even been put on the backburner it almost like its not even nessecary anymore in the formula of success.

Faygoluvers:  Favorite movie?

HomiSide: I cant really say i have an alltime favorite so i will list of some of my top choices: Biodome, Blow, The departed, scarface, Boondock saints, Requim of a dream, Natural born killers, Four brothers, FEAR AND LOATHOING IN LAS VEGAS, Texas chainsaw massacre, seven, AND NEXT FRIDAY, i could go on and on but ill stop there.

Faygoluvers:  Softball style chicks or gymnists?

HomiSide: A mix between both.

Faygoluvers:  Old school or new school?

HomiSide: Old school.

Faygoluvers:  Compare yourself to one established artist.

HomiSide: I get asked this lot i cant really compare myself to anybody i feel like if an artist can do that then theres somethin wrong with there style, if you are completely original you shouldnt be able to compare yourself to anybody so to answer this question i dont compare myself to anybody in the entire world.

Faygoluvers:  Faygoluvers or Juggalo News?

HomiSide: Faygoluvers… I dont even think i’ve ever went on that other site.

Faygoluvers:  Last but not least, whats next?

HomiSide: Whats next god damn so much shit, ima keep it short and simple insted of saying a lot of things that arent secured 100% of happening in the future. My debut solo album will be coming out late 07 with features from all of Belligerent Entertainment, some other local artists some out of state cats and kutt calhoun along with one super special ill guest that i cant say. But i can say he’ strrrrrrrrrrange. The cd is entitled “Changes” and is 20+ tracks. It will make your ear ejaculate.
