Potluck – 5/12/07

Faygoluvers: What’s up this is Whipstick here kickin’ it with Potluck, who just got off stage not too long ago her at Peabody’s. They were rockin’ the stage bringing that Humboldt County style, now how do you guys feel about that?

UnderRated: It’s Cool.

1 Ton: Yea man, out here in Cleveland the past couple of times it’s been nothing but love. In the past 3 years we’ve probably done more shows here than in Humboldt County so it’s like a “home away from home”.

Faygoluvers: I know you guys have done production on various projects recently with Psychopathic Records, now what is that like, the atmosphere in the studio, when all of you guys come together to collaborate.

1 Ton: To be honest most of the shit on CD’s, like 90% of the time, the recording isn’t done in the same studios.

Faygoluvers: Fuck man, I didn’t know.

Potluck: (laughs)

Faygoluvers: The first time I’d ever heard of you guys was last year, at GOTJ ’06, and I wanted to know what it was like for you guys to experience the “Juggalo World” first hand at the biggest event all year.

UnderRated: It was dope. It was real fresh. Before that tour we didn’t know a whole lot about that scene; Twiztid, ICP, Blaze, Psychopathic, etc. It was like a whole new world that we opened our eyes to. And it was real crazy because at The Gathering, seeing people from shows leading up to it who were feeling the music, and then all the people at The Gathering who felt it was just a new experience.

Faygoluvers: I know when I had seen you two walk out on stage, a little white dude like this tall (motions height) and a big black dude a massive as 1 Ton it was like, Rob and Big rap? But when your set opened up and your tongue flipping skills (Underrated) and his comedic lines, it’s almost undeniable. And if you don’t like it, then what the fuck is wrong with you?

Potluck: (Laughs) Thanks man. That’s what makes us keep doing it, is the fans. Shout out to the Juggalos thanks for the honor/privilege for the invite to the Gathering.

Faygoluvers: What was your guys’ first impression of each other back at the tryout at Jeffe’s back in the day

1 Ton: He know’s his history

UnderRated: I guess when I met 1 Ton, because I was born there and there wasn’t much hip-hop, it was like Oh, Ok someone around here playing the same music as me. And then we started hanging out together and shit, puttin’ together the same kind of music so it was from then on, the rest is history. Still West Coast, Still reppin West Side!

Faygoluvers: Well it was fun getting to stop by real quick and catch you guys for a brief moment, but until next time later daze.

Potluck: Thanks for having us man, anytime.
