No, Joe is pretty down to earth.
Like, you have a bunch of elitist people who have something bad to say about everything, but the album sales speak for themselves.
I loved the album.
I personally am not into spitting out advice too often because it ruins the magic of the music if the artist is just trying to conform to something, it makes the project less real. Not my place to tell an artist what to do, they are not slaves, the best shit comes when we let them free to do what they want. That's what makes art great, it's the only time you get to be actually free.

I believe that the word "Producer" and it's meaning in the music business, is circumstantial. Its meaning can vary greatly from project to project. So the word itself IMO doesn't have a definitive definition anymore that everyone uses or understands, maybe it still does in Nashville, but not in pop, rap and hip hop.
With that being said, my personal view of the word is more along the lines of what Cheshyr is saying. When I think of the guy that did the beat, I attach the word's "Writer" or "Composer" or "Programmer" to that role. Yet some how, the entire world, including mainstream and underground industry has attached the word "producer" to that role. It really is a misconception that has been thrown around so much that now people accept that the guy who wrote the music is the "Producer", which is not always the case, like I said, its circumstantial.
When I think of a producer, I think of Terry Date, who is also an engineer. He is someone who can make educated decisions about recording techniques and equipment, song structure, sonics, mixing, pitch, arrangement and the final product as a cohesive whole.
If i told you that I put the whole Darkness album together on my own. Beat layouts, Mixed it, Edited it, did creative editing like vocal fx and drops, added music, tuned drums, tuned vocals, did drum replacements, transitions, intros, outros, ect. and the only thing I didnt do was write the beats from scratch and write & record the vocals. What title would you give me?

In that kind of a case, "producer" would be one of SEVERAL credits that would be attached. Creative Director amongst other monikers come to mind giving credit for *each of the kinds of contributions listed. Any kind of "et al" label (to save printer ink?) would be an oversimplification of credits in that kind of case.
I've always found it odd that none of the actual musicians that have played instruments on Psychopathic records (and now Twizted's stuff) ever get any actual credit on the liner notes (except for maybe Legz Diamond). SOMEbody had to have been playing those guitars on "The Darkness" but fucked if we're gonna get told... Of course, if that's all digital, I'd love to know what programs they are using to come up with those sounds. I've also wondered why there has never been any performances from any Psychopathic artist (including Twizted) that have any other musicians on stage with them... Trent Reznor may do all his own shit in studio but when he tours he has a backup band; hell, even Run DMC had Aerosmith...!
But I digest... "producer" would only be ONE of the credits that should be listed in the liner notes of a person who did all the work you mention. Anything less would mean some isn't getting paid as much as they should.

After I listened to 'IN HELL' my face looked like this
I can agree with those who pointed out the skits being too many....most of all after I listened to Seance (which I love and reminded me of some DJ muggs type of beat) I really wanted it to lead into a horrific sounding song called "the Exorcism". That would have been genius...ya know? Seance leads to possession .....blah blah blah...my opinion
I fucking love every song on this, tho. Still can't stop listening to boogieman either...I can't get sick of it. Take it Away is probably the track I never expected to hear on this album, but ended up being one of my favorites.

^Welcome back homie. You are sharing my same thoughts on this record. I got chills when i first heard "In Hell". I also agree that the skits are meh. They just don't really fit the album. Overall a strong release. It doesn't have the sound or production of Abominationz, but for that reason I like it even more. Reminds me of Mostastless in a way.

I listen to this on my commute back and fourth to work, and on breaks. and I like it.
its slow starting, but gets to the good songs. wayyy to many skits. whoever said the skits were funny is a faggot and needs to go to funny school and learn what funny is, because they were not. take out the skits, and only a couple bad songs, and its a solid. I will not say its the wickedess cd they made though. they should have never hyped that part.
8/10 from me.
I'll fuck you till you love me, Faggot!

Ill be honest, I wasn't really feeling it on the first few spins. The stand outs tho were In Hell and Seance fa sho! but then having in my car for the past month or so everything else really grew on me. I'm still bumpin it! To me that Seance beat sounds like some early HOK shit. The production and overall feel was great they nailed IMO. I agree with everyone else too, fuck the skits! god damn man, don't they know that people are just gonna skip them shits er what...But I do like the direction that Twiztid is going in their new career. I would LUV to see a SWK brand new album, new beats, new concept and everything. I think everyone would EAT THAT SHIT UP!!!!!! Then have a SWK Tour! DOPE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The album was decent. Better than A New Nightmare (which mostly sucked), but a lot worse than Abominationz. Idk, the beats just seemed mostly uninspired, and Monoxide really needs to stop trying to be Tech Nine. I love the skits, but I wish they would have included a couple more tracks along with the skits.
Tracks like "Back to Hell", "Afraid of the Dark", "Down Here", and "Seance" were the fuckin' shit. The rest of the album was either meh to pretty good.
To be honest, I feel like their music lost a certain level of freshness ever since leaving Psychopathic.

Now that I have given it time to sink in, I am really liking this record and definitely am not disappointed like some of you seem to be.
It was better than the last couple EP's in my opinion, though they weren't too bad either. (excluding the Wasted tracks)
Now I'm just waiting for...well, the moment we've all been waiting for
