Four Arrests Made at the 2015 GOTJ

Although there was plenty of fresh features and positive vibes at this year’s Gathering of the Juggalos, there just had to be some negative news to tag along. Reported and confirmed earlier today (and oddly at about the same time), there were four arrests made at the event.

The first set of arrests consisted of drug trafficking. The first arrest was a man charged with trafficking in cocaine. He held a sign that said “COCAINE” on it, and an undercover busted him after a purchase. The second arrest were a couple, and they were charged with aggravated trafficking. The man was alongside a topless female whom had “MOLLY FOR SALE” written across her chest, and undercovers witnessed several transactions. The man escaped briefly once uniformed police officers approached them, but he eventually got caught. LSD and MDMA was found on the man upon his arrest. The third arrest was a man charged with trafficking in LSD. Police were investigating an assault, and the man reported his backpack being stolen. Once his backpack was found, police took it as evidence in regards to the assault, and had found a large quantity of LSD inside the backpack. The man admitted to taking the drugs, but denied possession.

The second arrest story is a man whom was charged with a rape of a disoriented woman during one of the DJ parties. Apparently the man had been dancing with the female during the party, but numerous witnesses said that the man was basically holding her up and that she was limp the entire time. Afterwards, the man had dragged the woman to either a tent or grassy area, and engaged in sexual conduct. Witnesses said they surrounded the man and attempted to catch him, but he had escaped. Police later identified the man and he agreed to an interview, which afterwards, he was charged and arrested for the rape.

Unfortunately, these stories are a rare case of extreme negativity at the Gathering of the Juggalos. Faygoluvers is an unbiased website that reports both good and bad news, and we are saddened that these people had to shine a negative light on such a positive event. A usual reminder though, these people are innocent until proven guilty by the court of law.

Even though officers from the Sheriff’s Department were clearly on the grounds last year (without any incident at all) and this year at Legend Valley, it does create some speculation. Although the rape incident was apparently confirmed (mainly because several witnesses tried to take action against the man themselves), the drug arrests (although lacking common sense or responsibility), brings up the question of undercover police officers making drug arrests at the Gathering. Will this be a more common theme at future Gatherings? Was it also justified due to the people’s visibility and willingness? Was it fair to selectivity arrest these people but not others? Answer in the comments below.

Below are the links to the actual stories, and the full names and details regarding each arrest.

Damn that undercover stuff is rough. I’m all for a police presence there to keep us safe, but it’s weird to think about undercovers. Still, maybe don’t write what you’re selling on big signs or your body…? It’s private property though. If the owners want undercovers there that is their right and it should be respected.

an undercover dont need permission from anybody.
id expect the owners would prefer they werent there, but who knows.
theres been undercover cops at the gathering for years. this is the first time i remember them publicly admitting it, though.

Well one dude that got arrested had a whole menu of drugs he was selling…so I doubt he was there to gather. Literally 7 different drugs, everything from special K to cocaine.

It’s time to end Rape Culture.

Props to EVERYONE who stood up and alerted security in regard to the incident. No one deserves that. It’s up to the family to police each other, at the end of the day. See something, say something. Protect your sisters, the juggalettes.

I’m sending endless love and positive vibes to the victim of that heinous crime and just want to let her know that she is LOVED. SO incredibly loved.

takes a special kind of stupid to advertise molly on your girlfriends tits. I am happy to see the coke and other hard drug arrests made. Lets try to not have a new drug bridge. Hogrock got so bad that heroin was becoming common. I even saw people selling crack.

The uniformed officers saw the advertising of all forms of weed (dabs or wtf ever they call the other stuff.). They witnessed countless acts of using weed. some as obvious as puffing on a blunt as they rode by on the cart they drove.

If the uniformed saw that much, then you KNOW the undercover cops could have made hundreds of busts.

Keep the cops both uniformed and undercover. weed out the bullshit drugs

Cops saw a ton of signs and busted a few idiots who went too far with that shit. Frankly the idiot who sold to him shoulda asked him what his favorite Psy artist was or who he was most amped to see other then the usual people. Hell ask him if he liked Rydas or Lotus better. When I got something from someone to avoid being ripped off I asked them several questions.

1:How many times have you made it home?
    2: Where you from?
3: Wheres your site at? (if they couldn’t point to it or they weren’t sitting in as I asked them its a deal breaker)
4: What do you wanna see tonight?

If any answer of theirs is suspect I don’t get their wares. The one time I didn’t follow my rules I got got for 14 dollars but meh shit happens.

FUCK THAT SHIT!!! If cops are arresting people for drugs or whatever, I mean come on motherfuckers. It’s the gathering. It’s supposed to be a privet event for JUGGALOS. Anybody remember the drug bridge years back? Cops on the grounds? Fuck that, going to the gathering isn’t worth getting an arrest. PSYCHOPATHIC KEEP THE INSTIGATORS OFF OUR FESTIVAL GROUNDS!!! Find privet grounds to hold the event at. Or attendance at the gathering is going to start getting smaller and smaller.

the ‘no cops involved’ bit, that is.
regarding the above… the grounds ARE private. and again, there are ALWAYS cops at the gathering. and yes, we remember the drug bridge; it was mostly some wack bullshit. uniform cops were on patrol last year; this year they had much higher attendance.
if youre afraid of the world, stay out of it. this aint no disney tv show.
    except for wolfpac, i spose.
