From Metro Times Detroit:

Q: Do Juggalos from outside Michigan make pilgrimages to the area? Is this a destination spot for out-of-state Juggalos?

A: To come to Detroit? Absolutely. For many, many years, if you will. And it was real prevalent in the late ’90s, early 2000s. I can remember cats moving here by the groupage. It’s so neat that all throughout the country, certain homies from Toledo, Ohio, were all grouped up. They would come up to each show together. And then we would go down to Toledo together to see them. Next was Cleveland. And all of a sudden there’s a bunch of Cleveland Juggalos. Then the Chicago Juggalos; those cats would all come here to enjoy and we would go there to enjoy, talking about days of shows and concerts. But, yes! I’ve known a ridiculous amount, an abundance of Juggalos and Juggalettes have moved here. And then some have come up and gone back. There were different times in my life that I figured I wanted to get up and give it a shot elsewhere. I sat there and thought to myself, I cannot be that far from Detroit city because once a year there’s the Hallowicked clown show. That’s an absolute staple of life. That’s a must. If you include, you know, a lot of my friends are just mind-boggled that it’s now been 20 years. Absolutely, man. I gave up trick-or-treating at 15 years old because the Insane Clown Posse were throwing down in Detroit city. That’s just magical, and I could never take myself out of that equation. And still to this day there are hundreds of cats that are homies and friends of mine that are here in Detroit city for one reason and one reason only, and that’s ICP and Hallowicked. That’s amazing.
