It really sucks to have to report this in the midst of all the post-Gathering hype and excitement, but it’s only fair we pay respect to a fallen ninjette. According to reports, 27-year-old Kristal Tsosie​​ of Flint, Michigan passed away Sunday afternoon at Licking Memorial Hospital in Newark while attending this year’s Gathering of the Juggalos.

According to her friends and family, Kristal suffered from a pre-existing liver condition which she took medication for. Due to the illness, she did not (could not) drink alcohol, nor had she taken any illegal drugs at the event. The Licking County Sherriff’s department was called early Sunday by Ms. Tsosie’s family saying that she needed immediate medical attention, and on-site staff found her at her campsite right away and transported her to a nearby hospital. Unfortunately, she died a short time later. The Sherriff’s department is still waiting on toxicology reports, but early medical reports indicate the cause of death was an infection that impacted the heart.
