While searching Google for articles about ICP, Psychopathic Records and anything else news worthy, i came a cross a editorial about the GOTJ. This editorial was posted on the website lakenewsonline.com. It is rather negative but i figured i would still share it, in case anyone wants to read it for themselves. As quickly as the Insane Clown Posse set its sights on the Lake of the Ozarks, it went away.
The news that the ICP and its followers the Juggalos were not coming to the Crybaby Campground in August was met with pumping fists and cheers. There was a collective sigh of relief among the law enforcement establishment, emergency medical staff and the general public.
And the economic development and chamber of commerce folks are especially pleased they won’t have to wage a public relations campaign in the wake of the melee.
The ICP announced last week it was relocating from a campground in Illinois to the Lake of the Ozarks. Published reports from several news outlets and websites warned that the ICP’s followers — estimated to be in the thousands — often generated mayhem including multiple drug overdoses, violence and even death.
The reaction among lake residents was swift. Social media was rife with concern that the lake would be consumed by the ruffians, potentially costing thousands of dollars in damages, law enforcement overtime and unpaid medical and lodging bills.
Even State Rep. Rocky Miller got involved by alerting state officials of the impending onslaught of the ICP.
The lake is slowly recovering from the image of a wild and crazy place to play as the Party Cove becomes less and less of a problem. An appearance by the Insane Clown Posse would only have exacerbated the lake’s diminishing party-place reputation.
It appears that a collective effort by the lake’s residents, community leaders and legislators forced the ICP and Juggalos to take their debauchery some place else. Whatever the root cause of the decision for the ne’er-do-wells to find another playground, we’re glad they’re moving on.

and yeah, we police ourselves, when something material, like merchandise, is at stake. abusing each other, acting like assholes, basicly anything that doesnt personally cost us money… we say, ‘ah, who cares’.

No matter what, no matter what group you’re affiliated with, some people within that particular group will wild out and fuck shit up. That’s to be expected with any large music festivals. Why we are being discriminated against is bullshit. Juggalos or no, anyone anywhere at any music festival will raise hell. We just need our own land to host gatherings since everyone hates us so much. Fuck all these Goddamn haters.

86, you’re right. Discrimination is bullshit, and fuck people who hate for the sake of hate. But scruffy and wonka are right the fuck on point too. Too many juggalos r fucking assholes. If we regulated ourselves as a group people would have no reason to hate us. Just like that sheriff dude said when the gathering was still goin down in missouri, as long as we’re willing to play by the rules and be the generous, open minded, family that we claim we are, there wouldn’t be a problem. Sadly, as history has shown, we are not. We need to fix that shit.
