"Angel Heart" rocks. On the subject of voodoo/Hoodoo, "The Serpent and the Rainbow" rocks.

All must see "Mandy" with Nicholas Cage.

Audition is a great film. It's a Japanese flick about a widower who decides to hold auditions to find his next wife.

It's especially good if you watch it with someone who has never seen it and you tell them it's a drama. The first 2/3rds or so are basically a romance movie, then everything goes batshit insane during the last third of the movie.

Noroi: The Curse, another Japanese movie, might be the best found footage film I've ever seen.

Watched The Curse because it was recommended as a similar movie to Lake Mungo which is a phenomenal film. Japan and Korea have some of the best horror. Haven't seen The Audition yet.

The 7th Continent was pretty good too. Pretty morbid.

Ichi The Killer if you like splatter films such as Tokyo Gore Police. I'm not a big fan of Tokyo Gore Police but Ichi The Killer was just beyond fucked up it was hilarious. Completely over the top.

Watched Silent Hill for the 5th time. Shit never gets old.

Japanese stuff is cool. Isn’t the Grudge, Ring, and One Missed Call remakes of Japanese movies? I’d love to see more movies like them.

Yeah, the Japanese version of One Missed Call was directed by the same guy who did Audition and Ichi the Killer.

You've got a thing for cockroaches? You would have loved delivering appliances with me as a teen. Grandma would have us deliver stuff to almost anyone with a $50 plus tax down payment. People clean a lot more often when they know someone is coming over. When we've had to repo after them not paying the second installment of $50 the houses/apartments weren't as clean.  I've seen my fair share of cockroaches. None have been appealing.

I did watch Noroi last night. I thought it was a decent flick, nothing to write home about. I've watched it before but gave it another shot.

You're Belgian, right?

One of the weirdest movies I've seen is a Belgian film. It's called The Ordeal. In French it's just called Calvaire. I would post the trailer but I feel like it shows too much of the movie. It's just better to watch it without knowing what's going on.

Another good movie is called Hard Candy. With Patrick Wilson and Ellen Page. Another one that is best to watch without knowing anything about it.

Brightburn is worth the watch and rewatchable when you show it to people. It's not a DC movie but James Gunn(writer/director of guardian of the galaxy) basically wrote a middle school bizzaro superman story. Its supposed to be super hero horror. All in all I'd give a thumbs.

That movie definitely is intense.

Another good Ellen Page one is "Into the Forest". Anything post-apocalyptic is usually enjoyable for me. I love that whole subgenre of movies.

More post-apocalyptic (or just apocalyptic) movies I liked:

● Melancholia

● Seeking a Friend for the End of the World

● 12 Monkeys

● The Road

● Interstellar

● Sunshine

● This is the End

● 4:44 Last Day on Earth (not excellent but worth one watch)

● The Wandering Earth

● It's a Disaster

● Rapturepalooza

And also, "Another Earth". What a great little epic film. Hard to find.
