Well juggalos, I suppose it’s time to return to my trolling of the interwebz. Expect a few more UGS’s over the next few weeks. I got a few lined up, including an up and coming artist from Canada that’s going to freeze your ear holes with his cold flows, and an updated interview with newly signed Madesicc (Brotha Lynch Hung’s label) member and former UGS, Tanqueray Locc, so be on the look out for that juggalos. So, back to the batcave I go…. Enjoy!
Artist: OP
Real Name: Chris
From: Milwaukee, Wisconsin
Rolls With: Strangler Productions w/ Psycho Muthafoo
BeZerk: I’m an internet troll, so obviously, I have to ask, how did you come up with the name OP, what does it mean, and why did you choose to go with it?
OP: The name OP came from a homie of mine when I first got down with Strangler Productions. It was short for Orange Peela, but now I just roll with the abbreviation of OP. I decided to stick with it because it just kind of hung around, and all the homies at shows would just call me OP.
BeZerk: Who would you consider as an inspiration?
OP: My biggest inspiration would have to be Psychopathic Records.
BeZerk: What is your favorite Faygo flavor?
OP: Red Pop
BeZerk: How long have you been doing music for?
OP: Started writing and recording in 2000.
BeZerk: What do you think makes you unique from other artists?
OP: My vocals, rhyme style most definitely, and my whole overall style is what separates me apart from others.
BeZerk: You’ve been in a few group in the past. How did those come about and what did you like most about doing stuff as a group versus doing things solo?
OP: The group “Krazy DeadZ.” I started out in was with a group of 3 other homies from back in high school I met, we all had a lot of stuff in common and just clicked. Doing group stuff there was a lot more input from different people, different views and whatnot, but doing solo stuff works better for me.
BeZerk: What do you like about doing things as an individual artist?
OP: I like having the feeling of being independent and rolling with your own idea, and being able to have your own creative output.
BeZerk: Who have you been able to work with in the past?
OP: Right now, I’m in the process of working on my first full length solo album. I haven’t done a lot of collabs with other artist outside of the Strangler Productions label.
BeZerk: Who would you like to work with in the future?
OP: Artist I would really like to work with would be AMB, those dudes are straight spitters.
BeZerk: Who have you been able to share the stage with?
BeZerk: You dropped your debut solo mixtape Straight Stranglin’ (which is available to download here on Faygoluvers.net [click here]) What can you tell the juggalos about this album who may not have checked it?
BeZerk: Well it’s a new year, so what else do you have coming out? Any more CDs, mixtapes, merch, music videos, group projects, etc coming out?
OP: Yup the first full length album is being worked on, possibly another mixtape and a music video is possibly in the works also…if you check out the facebook, you’ll stay update on what’s going on.
BeZerk: When and where are your next few shows?
OP: Right now, not out on tour, but as soon as something changes..you’ll be able to find out.
Shout outs:
OP: Shout out to Faygoluvers for taking the time and showing love to me, the Strangler Productions crew : Psycho Muthafoo, Klutz and Psycho E, the Milwaukee Juggalos FB page, Rick Dogg from Wicked Wisconsin, Mista Sykness, all the artist on the underground, Exrt Da Virus and all the homies from the 414
