What’s up juggalos and juggalettes, it’s you boy BeZerk, and I am back once again to t-bag your face with some fresh underground shit! Last interview I caught up with the homie F. Dux, now for your pre-4-20 celebration, I bring you Sozay. If you don’t remember Sozay, you may ask… “Who is Sozay?”

Sozay, hailing from California, has been ripping up the mic since our last interview. In our last interview, he was promoting his “Who Is Sozay” EP, in which I got to sample beforehand, and Sozay was cool enough to hook me up with a box full of samplers (which I handed out during my city’s only parade… priceless). After that had dropped, Sozay went on tour with House of Pain and Dirtball (He Who Breaks The Law Tour), in which my broke ass missed (I wanted to get Everlast’s autograph for my boss, because my boss said if I play What It’s Like one more time, he’d fire me).

After He Who Breaks The Law was done, Sozay hit the studio and released Dance With The Devil, an mixtape that featured Pusha T, Tech N9ne, Lupe Fiasco, and more. More recently, Sozay has worked with the Kottonmouth Kings to bring his fans and the juggalos an extra special 4-20 treat.

So juggalos, without further ado, here is Sozay. Enjoy….

From: Los Angeles, California

BeZerk: How did you come up with the name Sozay?

Sozay: It was the name of the villain in the movie “Usual Suspects”. It just fit.

BeZerk: Who are some of your inspirations?

Sozay: Kottonmouth Kings, Insane Clown Posse, Tech N9ne, and Twiztid.

BeZerk: What’s your favorite flavor of Faygo?

Sozay: Red Pop.

BeZerk: What do you think makes you unique from other artists?

Sozay: My fingerprints.

BeZerk: How long have you been doing music for?

Sozay: 14 years.

Bezerk: In our last interview you dropped your album Who is Sozay, but not too long after that you were on the move with The House of Pain and Slaine and you toured the country on the He Who Breaks the Law Tour. Tell the juggalos about your experience on that tour.

Sozay: First, let me shout out all the Juggalos and Juggalettes who rolled to the shows and represented. You repped for sure. Whoop Whoop!!! Slaine dropped off the tour and was replaced by The Dirtball who had just dropped his LP, “Nervous System.” It was us 2, Big B, and House of Pain. We toured from Cali to Florida to Massachusetts to Minnesota and back. 25 shows over 30 days. The tour was fuckin’ sick.

BeZerk: After the tour you dropped another album called Dance with the Devil which featured Tech N9ne, Pusha- T, and others. Tell the juggalos about that album.

Sozay: It was actually a mixtape. That was just a quick fix to hold the fans over until my next LP drops later this year. I’m workin’ on two projects right now, ‘Speak of the Devil’ and ‘Black September’. Not sure which one is droppin’ first, but they’re both badass.

BeZerk: Who else were you able to work with and perform with since our last interview?

Sozay: Outside of the tour with Dirtball, Big B, and House of Pain, I rocked a show in OC with Yelawolf. That show was sick as fuck. Then I dropped the mixtape last Summer, with guest appearances from Tech N9ne, Pusha T, Lupe Fiasco, and Ace Hood. I also have a new single with the Kottonmouth Kings, “Stoners New Year” that drops on 4/20.

BeZerk: Not only do you have CDs available, but you have some dope merch out too. What else do you have coming out that the juggalos could peep? Any more CDs, mixtapes, merch, music videos, etc coming out?

Sozay: Like I said, I got the single with KMK, “Stoners New Year” droppin’ on 4/20. There’s a “Stoners New Year” tee that’s for sale too. If you visit my store on www.sozayone.com there’s 10 t-shirts designed by 2Shae and Seize from West Coast Customs. Those are sellin’ better than I expected. I’m stoked about that. Then I got the full length album, either ‘Speak of the Devil’ or ‘Black September’ droppin’ later this year. But you gotta pick up the new single, “Stoners New Year” featuring Kottonmouth Kings. It’s perfect for sparkin’ up a fat blunt or a green bowl of some OG Kush and just kickin’ the fuck back.
