And scruff, its more that you can practice on free instrumentals people have jacked off (haaaaa) the net from popular songs. i wouldnt waste an instrumental from one of the people here with garbage (no offense doc, but you gotta crawl before you can walk). a few months working with mainstream beats and you will be alot better. and then start fuckign with your own shit.

Is it just me or has there been a very large influx of new 'artists' this year? (yes im aware in this catergory) or have i only just started paying attention because im making music of my own and compare it to other hobbyist artists?     

yeah.  have thoughts on the reasoning, but i think ima keep em to myself.  

also get on youtube and download some free instrumentals n shit. just load up with them so you can do something at anytime. long as you aint making money off it noone really cares.

people here make beats for free, get at one of them.  use that other shit for freestyle practice and temp tracks.  

first verse (you ive been led to believe) is not bad, sound quality is bad, sounds like its done on a phone. get that shit in yo closet son. second, stack your vocals, do dubs and adlibs and itll sound heaps better.

not bad for a first attempt.

second verse, tell your homie to slow down. if he fucks up his verse (heard him do it a few times) stop, delete and start fresh, doesnt need to be done all in one take. i usually record about 30 - 50 versions before i settle on one im happy with.

he missed the beat alot. thats my only big qualm with the song, he aint gunna be no chopper, at least not for a long time. but start slow and perfect your craft.
