Faygoluvers - Topic: Where ya gonna camp? https://www.faygoluvers.net/v5/forum/the-13th-annual-gathering-of-the-juggalos-2012/where-ya-gonna-camp/ Simple:Press Version 5.7.5.3 NapiNate on Where ya gonna camp? https://www.faygoluvers.net/v5/forum/the-13th-annual-gathering-of-the-juggalos-2012/where-ya-gonna-camp/#p55293 The Gathering of the Juggalos https://www.faygoluvers.net/v5/forum/the-13th-annual-gathering-of-the-juggalos-2012/where-ya-gonna-camp/#p55293 my first year i camped right by the river, behind the trailer.  it was a nice spot in all aspect excpet for rain.  no rain set anywhere but there was no grass so it got a lil muddy.  but as anyone knows who went last year they moved the gate forward passed that area so now technically that area is outside the gathering grounds.  last year i camped in the chaos district along the tree line of the river.  we set up tarps off the trees that went all the way to the road so even though we was in the most hardcore of spots we had plenty of shade and was kind of close to everything.   this year i am riding in a rv and the driver knows a crew of people that set up the big tent by the small bridge going to the underground stage.  were going to set the rv up right down in there.  im not sure how this is going to go haha but at least i will be super close to everything.

It was a very friendly neighborhood with acceptable early AM shade, great neighbors, and a nice combination of "removed from the chaos" and "close to the action".

This year, however I'm considering attempting to wedge my ass into the Dark Forest for it's exceptional daytime shade. I'm concerned though about the Bomb House volume till 5 am and potential water retention over there... according to the weather service we're possibly looking at some scattered t-storms.

 

Where do YOU think you're going to set up camp this year? Where have you camped in the past? What are the benefits and drawbacks to where you've set up before?
