Hell's pit would be the rarer show and leaving/traveling home would be easier if you started Saturday morning as oppose to Sunday.

you can get into the gathering any time up until sunday. 

tickets are usually cheaper last day.  not cheap enough to be worth skippin out on the rest, though.    

Well if you wanna get technical, the parking lot party is the first night...so that means I was way off.

and the ICP Insane Clown Posse show? By description on the gathering website it seems the ICP show is the final night 

is the Hells Pit show for certain the night before?

if I could only make it for 2 days/nights I would wish to see both shows

also can I get Into the gathering 2 days after it has started?
