Yeah, I think that stuff's pretty boring too. I agree with the "how you play it" sentiment, my problem is that Nu-Metal bands all play it exactly the same. Tune to "B", play a riff that looks like binary code on a tab sheet.

There are a couple exceptions to that rule but for the most part, yeah, you're right.
