it's a Canadian show about high school kids it's been around since the 80's

the biggest difference between the 80's and 90's version of the show compared to todays version is that in the 80's and 90's there was maybe 1 gay kid on the show at any given time and on today's version of the show there is maybe 1 strait kid and everyone else are either gay or transgendered.

You read wrong. About 10% of the population is gay. The numbers for bisexual people is a little harder to pin down Because of stigma in both the straight and queer communities. With transgender people, it's about 1%.

Existing is not "shoving it" in anybody's face. Being included in media is not shoving it in your face. Get the fuck over your own insecurities and it wont bug you so much.
