I find that Twiztid’s EPs are unique to anything else that they have put out. Maybe on par with ICP’s EPs. I just wanted to see what everyone else thought.
Mirror Mirror is probably my favorite Twiztid release overall. Its dark, depressing, and surreal all around. Fucking dope. On a side note, is “Necks” an outtake? If so, that would’ve been so much better than “Dirty Lil’ Girl” by far.
4 Tha Fam is not very long at all. “Light n Truth” has one of Madrox’s best verses I’ve heard while “Gravy Boat” is too cheesy for me. I have yet to listen to the whole interview. Is it worth it?
Toxic Terror is pretty good, but I can do without it. I like the toxic bubbles that seague the songs lol. I think its a decent release.
End of Days is really good as well. I like the appearance of Prozak and Violent J. Is “Hell Ride” a possible Lotus outtake? J mentions the Echo Side and even shouts Lotus before his verse. Normally I would say it is, but every track credited as Dark Lotus has at least 4 of the 5 or 6 petals on it while this only has 3.
A New Nightmare has enough discussion going on so I won’t elaborate on it. In summary, its too experimental for my taste and the melodies blow. I also cannot stand Lil’ Wyte. The House of Krazees track is one of my favorite tracks overall though.
There are also the Fright Fest and limited edition EPs, but those tracks are always hit n miss for me. Your thoughts on the EPs?

of all those I only own mirror mirror and a new nightmare. I have a hard time callin mirror mirror an ep, I know it technically is, but it’s one a long ass ep lol, if you don’t count skit tracks as actual tracks mirror mirror is only 2 songs shorter than abominationz

The best ones are 4 Tha Fam and Fright Fest ’03 in my opinion.
Q: I have yet to listen to the whole interview. Is it worth it?
A: At the time it was significant, because Mono had some minor mental health issues and there were a lot of rumors circulating. The interview came at a needed time. It’s relevance now is minimal I suppose.

I honestly thought A new Nightmare was a fresh cd. Noone can deny that Twiztid’s lyrical ability has evolved tremendously. I wouldnt say they have branched off the wicked shit because they still keep the content. I just think alot of people judge it by the beats and production. Twiztid’s classic albums (FreekShow,Mirror/Mirror, Green Book, Man’s Myth, Mutant) were all done by their one time sole producer Fritz the Cat, and personally my favorite producer Psychopathic had besides Mike Clark. Now there beats are laced with Seven’s production which his production is amazing but it does give that Strange music sound to it. To me, their beats sound like Prozak, which aint a bad thing but i understand why some peeps dont dig it. Twiztid’s hasnt got worse or did they get better as a group. They always were good, they just grew. Trust me i wanna see another Freekshow, mirror mirror, green book album as the next juggalo but it probably wont happen. Twiztid’s always said every album they try and do something different which is true they do, but in my opinon, a new nightmare sounded like outtakes from abominationz. Then again this is just my opinon. Now, if this is true, im hyped as fuck for a new HOK album!

no. necks was a faygoluvers exclusive given by fritz in 07 after the fallout..

I have not heard A New Nightmare. That being said, despite its length, I feel Mirror Mirror is the best ep. Just one of my top five favorite Twiztid offerings overall, really. For personal reasons and because it is just plain good.
The 4 The Fam was odd but good. Made during Mono being hospitalized for too many panic attacks. I used to get them too, and its nice to be able to relate to artists like ICP, Twiztid, Esham, Anybody Killa, Krizz Kaliko, Wrekonize and all going through anxiety and unfounded panic. Thankfully I conquered mine many years ago without prescriptions or anything. Just mental work outs and being psychically toughened by life events. Healthy (er) eating and other factors help as well.
Despite all of the disdain, I will be checking out A New Nightmare when I get a chance.

I strongly disagree that A New Nightmare sounds like Abominationz. The new EP is way too polished to sound like anything else at all.

Man, I really did not care for that Gathering 05 EP. Save for Blaze’s song, I dug the fuck out of that…even with that weird-ass chorus.
I didn’t like the ABK track, though it became pretty nostalgic. That was one of my favorite Gatherings, and I can still remember it seemed like everybody was bumpin’ that track.

Mirror Mirror was the shit. Was my first concert I ever went to so I’ll always remember that. 4 The Fam was cool but I prefer Dr. Octagons version as I’ve probably said this before I don’t remember. End of Days was pretty cool I liked that one. Even the remixes were actually pretty cool. I liked Twiztid with that sound they had on WICKED and End of Days, nothing like what they sound like now mind you.

Hell yeah I saw MM Tour too in Raleigh NC… went alone n got pulled over by two white cops then a black cop… interesting story
