I never go to the official site, nice post PRJ. The official site sucks. All the flash and bullshit it takes to long to load and the layout is whack. Anyways I’m sure a simplified version of the conversation went like this:
PSY: “We would like to make a deal with you to clear those samples we borrowed”
Midnight Syndicate: “We would like money”
PSY: “How about we advertise your goofy website?”
Midnight Syndicate: “We’ll take it”

With this more than likely being the case, i would say it is a win for Psychopathic.
Instead of having the Webbalo contest for Zug Izland and Legz Diamond and The Purple Gang, Psychopathic should of made the contest for a new ICP.com

I would pay 125 dollars for a meet and greet….also….I’m surprised they or any group I know of never did a “pay to talk to them” on the phone thing or email. I would gladly pay 125 dollars to ask them a few questions and hear their answers striaght from the horses mouth. imagine having say 20 minutes to talk to an artist on psy be it J or shaggy jump, mike e clark.

Ok, listening to The Road. Violent J sounds like he is like 10 years older than Jump which is crazy haha. Jumpsteady sounds almost the same as when he was on Taste. Also the recording quality sounds kinda crappy to me for some reason. Or maybe I just got a poop download. We will see when my CD comes.

finally heard this…..something about his voice and his phrasing and he sounds like someone you know or would want to hang out with. he tells a great story…I think the woman of my dreams was the scariest one for me. loved the moody background stuff going on it really fits. I just loved going for a long ride and listening to it it made for a great drive.
one thing though, I undertstand the scary story angle…..but I think if he or ICP is to do anotherone and I hope they do one the way I intially thought “the road” was going to be. storys from their touring.
think about it….they’ve toured from citys and towns from one side of the US to the other and in europe for YEARS.
they must have some incredible anedotes about touring. storys about groupies….the places they’ve played…maybe fights they’ve gotten into invarious citys, maybe expland it not just about touring and be about track by track descriptions for what it was like to record certain songs in the studio..you get the idea….
an audio book gives you so many options…they could in the middle of talking about say recording “house of horrors” maybe play us a version of it in progress to show you how they kept inproving it….maybe have mike e clark or mike p drop in and give insight…all the stable of psy artists talking about their contributions. I would pay mad money to hear an audiobook regarding ICP’s music and touring storys.

I understand your point, but I look at it this way. imagine in your life you really love something…but you cant interact with it and most likely will live the rest of your life unable to give what you love some direct feedback. theres something sad about that.
its a reality, that their time is money because they have lots of fans and friends and family so its not feasible for them to always make time avaliable to meet fans for free as I’m sure hundreds and hundreds will show up. the regular fans who just want to listen to the tunes will be satisfied enough with going to a show and listening to the music.
but there are some like me who would be willing to put the chips in our favor a bit and pay a bit of money to say a few words that you know will go directly into their mind and thought about.
