I just found this online, thought it would be a good article…
The Joker’s card has clearly been dropped on us all. Violent J. (Joseph Bruce) and Shaggy 2 Dope (Joseph Ultster) have taken their carnival of carnage, once mired in over-the top gangsta rap, pro-wrestling and cult superstardom and turned it into one of their hometown of Detroit’s minor (but sizeable) industries. While they’ve turned to mellower (dare we say spiritual) lyrical turf: make sure you check their pop-culture piercing “Miracles” video, ICP still manage to stir the cultural Faygo (their beverage of choice): they recently sued the FBI itself for classifying their fanbase (known to the world as Jugalos) as a gang. Clearly, a nation of millions can’t hold ‘The Clown back.

I’m not getting into this again but Korn have sucked since day one. I do listen to some “crybaby” type music, but Korn has never been among the bands in that vein that I do enjoy. None of those bands you mentioned even existed when I went to high school, I was fortunate enough to listen to GWAR and similar music that shits all over Korn and Nickleback. Music is just getting progressively shittier, oh well… that’s Kali Yuga for you. Classic dilemma.

I’m not a fan of Disturbed or Nickleback (though I’m not sure why everyone hates on them so much, they’re just a fucking band), but Korn’s my shit. They’re not my favorite band, their first album was great though, and their other early work was pretty good too.
I’m not sure what “crybaby type music is,” like, the only thing that comes to mind right away would be emo. I don’t know if that’s what you’re talking about though, and I don’t think Korn falls into that classification.
Honestly, I’ve never actually listened to GWAR, but they seem like some cool dudes.
I don’t think music is getting progressively shittier, it probably only seems that way to you (everyone) because it’s drifting away from your own preferences. I do think that the music industry is currently in a creative slump, music is stagnating. The past decade or so almost everything sounds the same, maybe that’s just me though, but the formula isn’t changing and the result is pretty much a product of inbreeding. Something’ll come out of all of it eventually. Maybe.

I like Korn and Nickelback and i’m not afraid to admit that I listen to any kind of music period. Why would someone not claim the music that they like?

This article is bullshit though, Everyone loves Korn, Limp Bizkit, disturbed and all these other bands, I just hate how when you meet someone they ask you what your favorite group or band is and you say ICP, They just like “oh, Were done here don’t talk to me”.
Like they know whats so dope and have better taste in music. I know whats dope I don’t need anyone tellin me what to listen to.

ICP > Korn > Limp Bizkit > Disturbed > Nickelback > Styx
this is both true of who’s better and who people are more “ashamed” of listening to. I’ll admit, I’m hesitant to tell peope I listen to ICP until they know me personally. Namely at work, with my girlfriend’s family, etc.

I hear ya on that note! What.The.Fuck is fucking STYX doing there? That’s like being embarrassed for listening to J Geils or Kiss. Styx never took themselves too seriously and for that, my hat comes off.
This list is shit. If anything, I’d be not-that-quick to admit that I dig the cry-rap Eminem or Cage do these days.
