TFTLP is dope, but I would rank Twiztid’s Green Book and Drive By’s Pony Down above it.
I’ve met several non Juggalos who think the Pony Down album is the absolute shit. It’s so good, even people who aren’t down have to give it props!
As far as current releases, the House of Wax Ep ICP just put out (which nobody heard) was dope, so let’s hope they are getting back to that standard of quality for the next Jokers’ card.
We know that double album is PSY’s only focus musically til the Gathering in the summer, so they have lots of time to make sure it is dope.

i like black rain better too. and i like lotus pod & mud water air blood better than opaque brotherhood. its tough to compare other psy music with lotus though because (imo) they do a good job of making lotus sound so much different than the rest of their music.

black rain is the only full lotus album i have… IMO the Rydas are better. Eat Shit and Die is better than any lotus album that I’ve heard, (still haven’t listened the mud water n’ shit)

I made a mix album with both of their versions edited together. In retrospect maybe I should have edited both verses out of the songs… (actually marz verses aren’t too shitty) I think abk sounded great on black rain tho

Couldn’t disagree more. Probably my least favorite Lotus record. MWAB was far superior IMO. As for albums better than the first Lotus release:

Every Twiztid record aside from Independence Day
Every Blaze record aside from Gang Ragz
ABK’s Dirty History and Medicine Bag
And… Every other Lotus record.

while its definitely in my top 10, definitely not the best release (original only, rehash was doo doo butter). for me its wizard of teh hood/ green book/garcia brothers (yep went there). thats just the short list but there is 2 decades of amazingly solid releases from beginning to end.

Wasn’t their best release, but probably my 2nd favorite amongst the Lotus albums. Opaque Brotherhood being the first. It didn’t matter to me any between the 2 different versions. Both Marz and ABK were cool on some tracks.

Tales from the Lotus Pod is my least favorite Lotus album. I’ve pretty much only listened to the Marz version on youtube but I didn’t really find it any better. I’d rather listen to just about anything else from ICP and Twiztid, so I guess pretty much everything else they’ve released since then tops it, for me at least.

Probably for me a lot of it was the content and lyrics. There is some cool shit on the album but overall, I feel, it’s inconsistent. I don’t really care much for ABK and I barely even know who Marz is and don’t care much for what I’ve heard, so I already don’t care about 1 out of 6 verses one most songs, by default. The rest of the members on the album, again, hit or miss for me. J and Shaggy were far from the top of their game, but at least they made me laugh.
