@croatjuggalo – sorry, but i want labels i like to act like they care. getting a small handful of releases a year from what should be one of the largest underground labels out shows laziness.

@carnivalkilla44 – sorry man, i think im just prejduiced against abk, i dunno what it is, but i actively hate his music.

psychopathic have spent the better part of this year hyping a ‘new entity’. why not spend like 1 month hyping him then announce his signing, a month or 2 announce he is working on his debut psychopathic album.

Psychopathic is run by adn for ICP. its bad for artists and its bad for the fans. simple as that. call me a whiner, i dont really care cos i like to rant.

SO EAT A DICK BITCH! AHAHAHAHAHA

now be a good sheep and call me angry.

it’s not a lack of music, its a lack of talent.psychopathic has zero interest in artistic merit, all they are concerned with is pushing gimmicks and forcing artist to give up total creative control to being whatever they decide to pigeon-hole them as.psychopathic, their artists, and their fanbase are all too old for this shit.when your 40 and the majority of your fanbase are adults as well…maybe it might be a better idea to let “doe dubbla” be himself and make genuine music than sending him outhere dressed as papa shango.

damn do i wish i could have seen the meeting take place when they informed mr.dubbla of his new “role” at the label…this guy thinks psychopathic likes his music and is gonna try to put him on and then they sit him down and tell him their grand “vision”…”great news dubbla, your new name is “big hoo-doo” and your gonna rap strictly about being a witchdoctor from here on out.but wait, it gets better, look at this discounted halloween costume we were able to finance…its genius dubb-i mean hoo-doo!what could possibly go wrong?”…if i could only have seen the look on this poor guy’s face when they whipped out his new wardrobe…comedy gold

I think Doe Dubbla knew what his role was gonna be before they even started negotiating the contract. Lets be Honest about the situation, it aint like Doe Dubbla is stacking any money off being himself. Thats why artist like Boondox & Hoodoo come to Psychopathic in the first place, they have nothing going for themselves and are better of with Violent J telling them what to do. Nothing wrong with that, some people are meant to give orders, others are meant to take them, not everybody can be a chief you need indians as well to make the reservation run.

As far as PSY changing their style up, that will never work. Just look at what happens every time they try it. The Dayton Family is a critically acclaimed group with a gold record under their belt, but on Psychopathic, how many juggalos even gave them the time of day??? Charges of Indictment was a good album but nobody over here wanted to hear it. I wont even go into the Cold 187um situation, dude is a legend in hip hop on every level for his work with Above the Law and Ruthless Records, dude was right there with NWA workng hand in hand with them to shape the sound of West Coast rap, but on PSY 90% of the juggalos acted like he raped their mother just for showing up and being here.

The only thing Juggalos want to hear are horrorcore rappers with painted faces and gimmicks. Better to accept that then keep trying to force change on them because there only gonna continue to reject it.

You pose a valid argument. There are juggalos like myself that appreciate the classic hip hop of DF and such, but the majority of the sales seems to great with the cartoon horror killers. And nothing is wrong with that; I enjoy them as well. And so what if we only get one ep and one full album from. Artists like DF? They’ll still make music, it’ll be dope enough, let’s enjoy the unique twists that they got to flex during their brief stint with Psychopathic Records. Some hate it, some don’t. It switches things up enough to keep things interesting…. that being said, Big Hoodoo will probably at the least be semi entertaining. Even my least favorite artists ever on PSY, the AMB, are listenable enough here and there. PSY never puts out anything on the level of modern radio terrible as a whole.

Hey if knew some way to make it ICP, Twiztid, Blaze, ABK and Esham again I would. But its not probable. I was mortified when they introduced a photo to promote Boondox; I thought it was going to be the most humiliating joke in PSY history bases on my prejudged perception. Then I heard “they prey with snakes”, my ears perked up, I heard some more tracks, then him on Rydas as Yung Dirt, and he won me over. AMB, in contrast, have not. Some work, some don’t. Can’t please everyone.

I’m not gonna judge dude until I hear something, only time I heard Doe Dubbla was on that Psypher and he wasnt terrible or anything. The Gimmick is right up PSY’s alley it all depends on how well this guy is able to carry it. Boondox as a rapper aint nothing special but he stayed in character well and made entertaining albums for the most part. When you think about it thats what this label has always been about. ICP themselves arent great rappers, they admit so themselves, but they came up with a clever angle and carried it over. No reason why this guy cant do the same, if his gimmick is gonna be a “Voodoo Priest” there are alot of concepts he could run with to make it fun. Alot of people are gonna scrutinize it like no tomorrow because there still sore about Twizted walkin out but I guess I’m less emotionally invested then most because I dont see how one thing effects the other. IF this dude drops a dope record, then I’ll support it.

I gurantee this big hoodoo album will be better than anything twiztid has ever released and will sell 3 times as much as their strongest selling album.

on a side note I heard a rumor that twiztid is going to be opening for a simple plan on a  15 date Canadian tour cementing the fact that madrox and monoxide are emo’s and S E DOUBLE L O U T’s.

Simple Plan is still a live let alone together? I listened to them back when my boobs were comin in..

So because i wish one of my favourite labels would support their artists properly adn not feed every penny they have inot 1 band and their own pockets im the loser? Bad business ethics are bad. this is the most likely reason twiztid left.

psychopathic are fail at promoting their artists and it hurts the label moneywise and it hurts the artists.

@smackhead – i thought you were only speaking frog. what happened? you were less annoying and more entertaining that way.

i’m pretty excited for this album just so I can see what it’s all about y’know? Maybe it’ll blow ppls wigs off. I get the cynicism considering the other shit psy has been putting out, between cold 187 and legz diamond, but I’m hopelessly optimistic for this new album. Hopefully Big Hoo Doo don’t take a doo doo on my sunny disposition lol. Where’s news on the next joker? That’s all I really care about anyways lol

Honestly Ive liked everything that PSy has put out over the last 10 years and have not heard anything that would be considered horrible in my book. I think the Big Hoodoo gimmick is cool and you can go all over with it considering the history behind the chararcter. The character is one of Magick, Deception, Sin, Excess, Partying, death, spells and curses. I think that this will be a good project and Doe Dubbla has a good tone to his voice for this.

I dont see how people say he was given this persona he may very well have came up with it himself and only brainstormed with ICP who knows Im not in the Board meetings but one thing is this Psy has never put out Lame sounding records all have been sonic and great.

Im looking forward to this CD.
