I look at lex like a dude that's always looking over his shoulder at the goings on on MNE. Like, he's riding with them and is respectful for being put on, but he'll bounce quick if stuff gets too shady.

GV and ROC still have day jobs i believe so I think they have more important stuff to focus on than throwing shade.

Lex seems to have genuine respect and appreciation even though, like Gorilla Voltage, he could easily open up his own lane. Then you have an artist like Boondox, who logic dictates will never have mainstream appeal. Its such a weird time.

I wouldn't have minded if Young Wicked did decide to talk a little shit on there when asked. He was publicly outed as the bad guy and a major reason for the split, but the same interview tells us that this isn't entirely true. They straight up said that he killed Lotus and Rydas. Despite there not being a single feature (excluding Drive-by) from either side on any project since MNE started. Clearly there was poor communication and something wrong well before he boinked Samantha. The whole showing up at events in exchange for masters and not respecting deadlines was going on long before that. He just happened to be the straw that broke the camel's toe because Twiztid decided to use him as their "yo, can you take a hint?" trump card. So now all of his interviews are related to that.

...I'm continuing a discussion from the Mission Infect thread in the Underground section.

It's clear from Young Wicked's recent radio appearance (and from the writing that's been on the wall) that mass market appeal is definitely a part of Majik Ninja's business strategy. I don't begrudge them this, but I have to say it is a bit of a bummer to hear an artist like Honey Bunches of Otis, who was so authentically raised in the Juggalo world, speak on it with such casual dismissiveness. We seem to be getting it a lot from that side these days, with Twiztid saying "oh our fans are all super young you guys", to G-mo going from serenading Juggalos on his album closer to flinging his wet diaper directly at Faygoluvers because he was colicky and got a rash. The host with his 2kool4clownshoes 'tude can learn to juggle scrote as far as I'm concerned. You could tell he was goading Wicked for some shade. And I don't hold bitterness against him either, business is one thing, but beneath that there's still a self-contained culture that's a separate thing, where all of this shit incubated. I don't mind a motherfucker experiencing growth, even carving a distinct and seperate niche, but christ I wish these guys would pipe up about the hands that boosted them up with a little more enthusiasm.
