Anyway, I can't be assed into listening to any of these underground Geraldo Riveras if I have to have to, but I think I got the gist from the thread's context. All I have to contribute is that plagiarism in music is not always a conscious effort. I really just want an excuse to use this as an example because I found it funny and here's a good place to bring it up:

For the first month or so it was fuckin' with me whenever it came up on the playlist. I'm like, "The flow on the hook is so familiar. Where the fuck did I hear this before?" Eventually it hit me.

Now, did Scum hear this shit and think "Damn, that's that fire. I gotta gank that and switch it up a lil bit for the hook on my new shit!" ...Not likely, though it is hilarious whenever that Juggalo DNA shines through with any horrorcore artist trying to distinguish themselves as something totally seperate. My point is, earworms are funny little creatures that I imagine behave strangely to the ears of other musical artists. 

The Source or XXL, one of those mags used to have a lil' side column comparing rappers who use the same lines/punchlines side by side. I used to just look at that waiting in line at 711.

As for what this means relative to the current topic I don't really know, I just wanted to contribute with my inane bullshit.
