they wanted to do the video without paint, to become more mainstream, then they made up the story about somebody telling them not to in case the juggalos didn't like it ..so then it wasn't their decision

^this^

They've been steering farther and farther away from their "scene" to try and blend in. They've been doing it for quite some time now. From a financial perspective, I get it. I've never been in that situation so I can't judge but I'm willing to bet a paycheck, at some point or another, has to come first and your loyalties have to get a little fuzzy. I want to dislike them for it but I can't because I cannot imagine that predicament. I can find situations in my life where I've had to compromise my morals though, so I can, at the very least, grasp the reasoning.

What I don't understand, and cannot accept, is their continuous attitude of superiority over those that have done, and are doing, the EXACT same thing that they're doing now.

I don't understand how they've at all changed other than the fact that they are choppers now.

The started out with out face paint, have dropped it before for Green Book and have always had party songs. Like, nothing has changed.

I mean it is like 12 years old...but yeah...also if you look closely at 4:01 theres a violent J diss for sure.

IIRC that vid was made on the quick n' cheap for t'interwebz consumption only. I remember it just kicking about on a few Juggalo sites as a download. Maybe FLH? RJ? HOI? IDK! Heh...

Mind, my brains probably splintered over the years. I can't agree that Twiztid have gotten better, per se, though. That said, I've been hoping they can actually finally discover themselves (which I always assumed they had with The Green Book...But then they released the turgid fiasco that was Mans Myth/Mutant). Other that settling on a name, they've barely settled on anything else over the years, like a constant state of flux and often disjointed. I guess being stuck in such a shadow of ICP all these years makes them feel the need for reinvention with almost each release. I dunno. Words and stuff.

Twiztid certainly have a penchant for looking around their vicinity for new sounds, which is why it didn't shock me that they decided to be chopper-style, considering speed is now the "thing" when it was once a limited sub-sect. Furthermore, may as well add as I'm on the train of thought: I was somewhat disappointed by the lack of storytelling on The Darkness, especially as they hyped it as a concept album. Besides the Hell tracks, its mostly self-contained verses that sound like they#re saying a lot, but really aren't that cohesive ("No Breaks" almost being the perfect example).

I have never even heard of this track until just now... I have Twiztid on my tv using Youtube (im always late to the technology update parties).... .

so I have just watched like five of their newer vids, like three i had never heard or seen... my thoughts...

No Breaks is dope. Old school like "Know Good".  Bravo.

Deep End is mostly a great track with a great chorus. Caskey doesnt impress me.

Down With Us is a good song. If you dont feel Monoxide is dissing Violent J, then you aren't being honest with yourself.

Boogieman is okay. I guess.

A Little Fucked Up is okay. I guess.

Breakdown had a neat video. Song not bad.

.... I had no idea they had been releasing so many videos.

Sick Man is okay. I guess. Cool cameos in the video.

Lol, ya you're a bit late but who cares. They've definitely been grinding with the videos. "No Breaks" is probably my favorite post PSY song and video to date.
