This one record I have had such a bad warp it wouldn't play right, the arm/needle kept going all over the place completely unlistenable. For the last few years I've been stacking it at the bottom of my recently played records in hopes that the weight would flatten it out. The stack gets about 50 records high after a few months before I put em all back on the shelf and start over again. After about 3 or 4 years I finally checked on it for the first time the other day after seeing this post.... now the record plays fine. It's got a little bump at the rim still but I'm happy with it.

I work at a record store and know vinyl really well. They can warp from too much heat, cold, and if you leave the shrink wrap on after opening it. Gotta have em at just the right temperature and in a bin leaning against other vinyls for support. They can also warp if you lean them individually at a bad angle for an extended period of time. Any warping is not likely because of manufacturing.

Ordering vinyl online is always a gamble, especially if it's only one. They can warp during shipping from poor handling, stacking or if they are left out in the sun. The more vinyls you order, the more likely they are to not be damaged because they are braced together.

Twiztid doesn't pack their vinyls very well and every single one of mine has arrived with the cover split at the seam and half were warped. Twiz shop sends them in big boxes, rather than a snug package made for vinyl, and they are able to move around a lot, increasing the chance of warping. However, a warped record can still play just fine if it is a gradual curve, it doesn't really ruin it unless it's a sharp curve. I have 350 albums, about 1/4 of my records are warped and only one won't play well, so I wouldn't worry.

Worst case is if the hole is off center. It will cause your needle to swivel back and forth and drag certain parts out, this is 100% a manufacturing error. Another common manufacturing error is when the etching in the center of the disc gets printed on the grooves. This unfortunately happened to my copy of green book.

It's a tough format to maintain, you gotta show your albums love and respect (which distributors often don't), but it's worth it for that perfect analog sound.

Good to know. Bc I plan on ordering this, cryptic collection Halloween, and Twiztid Xmas on vinyl from the site. For the record (pun intended) Wicked, Green Book, darkness, mutant, my filthy spirit bomb, and Casket Factory were not warped

To anyone who bought the Freek Show 33 did the record and cover come warped? Because mine was seriously warped and from what ive seen alot of them had been, especially the cover. Was there a manufacturing error or something because even the ones on display at the spooktacular horror show where in shitty condition

I didn't order one, but from my limited knowledge of Vinyls, you should always take the shrink wrap off, or it will warp your record over time.
