1. Rydas was never high concept. Parody doesn't = concept. Good satire is high concept but never parody. Not to say any parody is bad. It's comedy and comedy is super subjective.

2. You state all this like it's all facts and not just your opinion. In my opinion, that Triple Threat album was ok but nothing special, I think the production is a lot of what makes a project like this and I also don't feel like Twiztid found their sound until the past few years. I think they struggled to really find what they're all about and embrace that modern/technical sound that they really found on Mad Season. This is where Triple Threat suffered imo.

3. Just because you can't stop listening to the lyrics like they're all their is to all music, that doesn't mean the music isn't good. You say you don't just want high concept music that has deep meaning but you keep talking about the lyrics. Can't you just push that to the side? I don't know about you but there are artists/projects I listen to for the art of hip hop/writing/story telling and there are artists/projects I listen to for just the music.

3a. There's no right or wrong answer, maybe you do listen to all music for the lyrics but I don't think it's a reason not to like something. If you don't like it then you don't like it and that's fine. I don't like Ouija Mac because he has like a 4 word vocabulary and all his beats sound exactly the same (and he released 5 thousands songs per year). For me, that's a whole package. Nothing for me to like there.

4. Again, why do you have to read into these lyrics to the point where it makes you dislike something? Feels sadistic to me. Just ignore it, if it bothers you that much. Turn it up and just enjoy the sound. Unless you also don't like the music either but this is unclear.

5. Yes you are allowed but people are also allowed to question your reasons. Calm down. No one is attacking you.

6. What did you like about their old music. Do you want them to go back to rapping about how they're depressed, how they'll die for you, horror stories, how they smoke weed? Feels like they already still do all that to me. They released dedicated albums to the horror shit and weed. I don't see anything in the subject matter that's been removed since leaving psychopathic. I'm not a huge fan of the constant bitching and disses bit I choose to just ignore it and not read too much in to it because I'm not going to dwell on something that will sour and experience when there is plenty else to like.

some of these are fair points and I'm definitely just stating my opinion here mostly...you say if I don't like the lyrics then just focus on the music but the music (if you're referring to production) isn't the most amazing either...you made the argument about not liking Ouija's lyrics and thinking all his beats sound the same and I could make the same argument about Twiztid...I'm sure it bumps in the whip and would sound cool playing before a live set (background music) but it just doesn't do a whole lot for me...also why ask what I enjoyed about their old music when I clearly stated that I've enjoyed plenty of MNE releases...again I'm not just biased against them completely and wanting them to fail but I'm allowed to critique their music just like you are...if you wanna dive into the old music thing though...I miss when Twiztid was actually funny...their sense of humor doesn't come across in the music anymore for the most part and when it does it feels completely forced...they were more creative back then too...generally speaking I'm just not a fan of "fuck my haters/enemies" music as it gets very redundant after awhile and unfortunately that's what I hear from Twiztid a lot of the time lately...when they branch out and try different things I usually love it...for example I actually dig their rock-infused music now and days more than their rapping shit...again...MY OPINION...you're welcome to have yours

my initial comment was stating my opinion...I mentioned which songs I liked and then gave my opinion on the album as a whole...I'm not in here replying to everyone's opinions who enjoyed the album and telling them they're wrong but apparently you feel that's necessary to do to me lol but I'M the defensive one

I wasnt really feelin the project.. Relax your mind was the best on 1st listen.. Ive been bumpin ABK lately so I appreciated his contributions.. I agree with mentalcase tho.. both the lyrics and beats are boring.. that outro was lazy af.. they just chopped it down for the intro & said boom! "2 tracks".. lol

as far as the "beef" i felt the song outshined was vague.. its hard to think of anyone else, when it comes to the "early 90's" comment but who knows..

I'm too old and long in the tooth with this juggalo shit, these days to be a ride or die for any of these guys. I got my own, real life problems and responsibilities to deal with and I don't need to be concerning myself with rappers beefing, to the point where I even really pay too much attention to what they're saying, beyond how well it's crafted into the song or how clever the bars are.

I didn't hear blaze say "you havent had an idea since the 90's" and think "Nah fuck that coz you haven't had an idea since Violent J wrote your best songs". I thought "that line doesn't really fit there and feels forced. You could have done better".

I do think it's funny how ABK is still playing both sides and kept his verse really generic, on that song, though. Made me laugh.

This guy gets it 👆People always saying it bothers them when Twiztid takes shots at ICP, as if ICP is the only one who can talk shit! Also I have been reading for years people hating Twiztid’s music cause it sucks now, no creativity, selling out and just diss ICP. I suggest stop buying or listing to it. Or just deal with these disses cause they aren’t going to stop unless they want too, not when the fans say to. I like both ICP and Twiztid and support both labels so not being biased. Last bit of my opinion I actually like beef between Rappers/Labels as long as no one gets hurt i have been a believer that it’s makes the music better cause both sides are being competitive and trying to show the other one up and not release shit. In the case it didn’t spark ICP to step their game up actually it did the opposite and made them barely release anything.

first off...Rydas started as high concept lol basically a parody of gangsta rap but they just went over the top with it...because of that those albums are still fun and have a certain charm to them...shit like this or the Triple Threat album...again you could switch the verses out and wouldn't be able to tell the difference...just the same bullshit and it's not even interesting...no I don't only watch Oscar worthy films or listen to only concept driven, deep music...I appreciate fun shit just as much as the next guy but my point is it's not fun anymore hearing them hammer away at more subliminals especially when it's just them saying the same old shit...and I'm not some guy who knocks everything MNE...I enjoy Alla Xul, Lex, Gibbie, Boondox, actually liked Revelashin or however the fuck they spelled it, the MNE Rydas were even okay for what it was...I'm allowed to point out when something sounds stale and repetitive as fuck though which is what most of this album is...makes it seem like J really was the creative mastermind behind their old music because it seems like they don't have much to offer without him more often than not

sure plenty of SINGERS sing songs written by other people...that's because people focus on the voice first when it comes to singing...someone has a great voice they dgaf who wrote it...while there's a few examples of known rappers who use ghostwriters (mostly producers that occasionally rap like Dr. Dre and Diddy) for the most part people gravitate towards hip-hop artists for their lyrics...I'm not the writer police lol just think it's hypocritical of Blaze to say something like that when he and Twiztid seem stuck on the same shit they've been on for years creatively...and in my initial post I even noted that Psychopathic is guilty of recycling ideas as well...it's a problem for both sides I just think ICP can still put together better music than Twiztid or Blaze (at least that's how I felt about FFF and Flip the Rat...I'll admit Yum Yum Lure was a tad disappointing)

Noawareness said

Not every album has to be high concept and deep though. Do you shit on every rydas album coz it's all about shooting people? It's just a rap album. It's not supposed to be profound.

Do you only watch Oscar worthy movies that have deep, character driven plots or can you also appreciate that a big dumb action film can also be entertaining?

I don't know about you but I can happily watch The Godfather or Fast and Furious 7 and have a great time with both. Whilst one has a deep narrative and incredible character development with absolutely top rate acting, the other is just explosions and no plot.

Were you looking for Dark Side Of The Moon when you picked this album up? If you were, then no wonder you feel let down by it.

first off...Rydas started as high concept lol basically a parody of gangsta rap but they just went over the top with it...because of that those albums are still fun and have a certain charm to them...shit like this or the Triple Threat album...again you could switch the verses out and wouldn't be able to tell the difference...just the same bullshit and it's not even interesting...no I don't only watch Oscar worthy films or listen to only concept driven, deep music...I appreciate fun shit just as much as the next guy but my point is it's not fun anymore hearing them hammer away at more subliminals especially when it's just them saying the same old shit...and I'm not some guy who knocks everything MNE...I enjoy Alla Xul, Lex, Gibbie, Boondox, actually liked Revelashin or however the fuck they spelled it, the MNE Rydas were even okay for what it was...I'm allowed to point out when something sounds stale and repetitive as fuck though which is what most of this album is...makes it seem like J really was the creative mastermind behind their old music because it seems like they don't have much to offer without him more often than not

Or what if its towards the guy who owns the "house of krazees" name. They had alot of bad dealings with him.

The R.O.C would have been a great add on but I know he had some medical issues that prevented that.
