okay, so, inspired by others, i thought id throw a verse out there.  

its a
couple minutes after three o clock, im only three
blocks away from school and some fools ahead are bein cocks
high alert, worried in a hurry, heard em all sayin,
'you dont get to walk on our turf without payin!',

im
takin the city bus so i gotta keep the quarter and i
got nothing else to offer for crossin borders, so i
try to keep distance but theyre insistent, and when its four to
one and nowhere to run its a hopeless postion,  

im on
unfriendly ground, the oldest one is lookin down at me and
frownin, and standin where i cant get around him, he says
look him in the eye, but im looking to skip him by, he got
pissed, made a fist, and swiftly took it to my eye,  

they
kicked my leg from under me, some more punches thundering, i
open my eyes, in time to see another run to me with
somethin in his hand, and its not a punch that lands, cuz the
impact wraps around my back, i cant stand,

hell i
cant do anything at all but turtle up and block em off,
until they decide that im hurt enough, and knock it off, which
eventually they do, the gangbangers are through, i look
up to a bicycle chain, hanging in my view  

long story short, i stumbled off, hopped a bus ride,
got home, flopped into bed, bled and cried,
skipped dinner claimin sickness, pain and stiffness,
shoulda took the school bus home, but i missed it  

such is life and such is why i keep a fighting knife or a
box cutter, and since that day ive never lost a fight, i cant
say it wouldve made the situation worse or better, but i
can say, it wouldve made the situation wetter  

wrappin this up, bad planning and bad luck can add
up to bein trapped up badly and mad fucked, if you
know youve gotta brawl and ya know youre about to fall, get the
first good shot in, or get no shot at all  

this is not fictional.  

its a pretty damn accurate account of some shit that happened to me when i was thirteen.   

i started it last night, but it went kinda long, so i finished it up this morning.

ive written plenty of nonfictional stuff, but i dont usually write about my life story specifically.  

ya know, its been a really long time since ive written a verse of 32.  

wrote a 64 for a song once, that one was autobiographical, too... sort of a 'day in the life'-type track.  epic in scale, but lacking in significance.

ive drawn a blade on several occasions, but only put it to use once.  

who knows if it saved my life or not?  but it made an enormous fuckin difference, either way.  

[edit]  one part of the story that i couldnt figure out how to cram in there, was that i threw up on myself while i was limping the last half mile or so to the airport bus stop.  so, riding the city bus home, the whole time i smelled like vomit.  but thats how i was able to say i was sick without my parents noticing all the cuts and bruises.  

oh, another thing...  there were a couple lil bgs with em, one of em was a buddy of mine, we always ate together at lunch n shit.  the prick did not say a word to keep me from gettin fucked up.  his older bother was a super gangsta, and he had been raised since birth to never go against the gang.
