And if you read some of the medical sites on sleep disorders. The being choked by a dark figure is very common.

Wikipedia isnt always a reliable source for the truth. That’s been proven many times. I believe @bostin . Childrens spirits are a terrifying thing, mainly because some of them don’t know right from wrong. I’ve felt some things like something tugging on my shirt in the laundry room where i live, and snickering noises out in the hallway and then when i leaned out the door to see whoo it was, my whole detergent bottle got spilled on the floor. I didn’t tell my wife because well, she probably wouldn’t believe me.

my mom on the other hand, would. She worked as a nurse for a number of years and had some weird stories to divulge later on. One night she came home all quiet and pale. I thought maybe at thectime she was just tired after work, but a few years later when i got older, she told me what happened that night at the hospital. That’s why she didn’t tell us kids about it then. That definitely IS NOT something you tell your children. I don’t even know how I’d put it into words to be honest.

Anyways, theres something at the house my mom lives at now, but she has 4 cats living with her. 2 males and 2 females. It pretty much silenced what she was hearing when she moved in at first.

Yeah, Wikipedia sucks. I quoted Wikipedia since it was the first entry in google search just to show how readily available the info about it is. But just go to the other entries (I recommend the actual medical sites) and they all say basically the same thing. They describe exactly what is occurring in the brain that creates the phenomenon. The sleep research centers are even better. Some of them, by utilizing the knowledge of what is occurring in the brain, have even medically induced the exact same experiences.

Anyone who believes in the supernatural and paranormal should check out the Randi Million Dollar prize. It’s been around forever and no one has even come close to claiming it. Many have tried but under real scientific scrutiny, it all falls apart.

There is even research out there where they induce ghost experiences on demand through use of infrasound. They have found that many “hot spot” areas where a lot of people seem to experience these things can be traced to these in-audible sounds and by removing the source of the infrasound, the “ghosts” went away.

I just cannot bring myself to believe anything supernatural or paranormal. I have never experience anything in my 45 years on this planet that can’t be explained by existing scientific information.

Maybe these things do exist. I just find it highly unlikely due to all the real scientific (not pseudo-scientific) research on the subjects pointing to exactly the opposite.
