I think part of the thing is that Psy doesn’t want people selling real merch with their trademarked Hatchetman on it. A bunch of people last year got asked to stop selling stuff that had it on it. It walks a fine line with breaching/not breaching a trademark.

most of the ninjas that i know of that got those cease and desists were pretty obnoxious about it, though. slapping a hatchetman sticker on anything and everything, then selling it for double what they paid. et cetera.
definitely more about sponging up dollars, than representing.
